    if I enable this with out any other mod, as soon as it launch the game it closes it. how do I fix it?

    Anybody know how to get more info on getting your magic staff once you get into the Arcane University? Rominus talks about getting the staff but doesn't offer any details. He only gives the names of the four minor quest givers at the AU.

    (I actually haven't played the vanilla version of this, so I'm trying not to look too close at the vanilla spoilers. It seems like at this point he is supposed to give me some indication of how to acquire the staff from what I can see though.)

      Is this actually your first Oblivion playthrough too? If so, I'll be damned if I tell you s#*! about this. Why would anyone in their right mind start by tackling a harder version of a quest without even having played it once in its original version? That's trying to swim in the ocean before you can float in the little swimming pool.

    To anyone who cares:

    dreamed1 released Guild Advancement a month ago, which uses Brasher's FG and MG extra quests and a simple skill certification system to control your advancement in the guilds, and I recommend it over the versions 2.x of this mod. It does the same in a more immersive manner and with much less chances of bugs or conflict.

      Thanks, while I like C&C, I hate the Armand bugs it brings with it; will try the other mods.

    I think I've found a fix for the Thieves Guild quests. Fair warning, I'm not a modder, I just experimented with the CS until I found the problem. Therefore I cannot guarantee that this fix may not cause unexpected problems down the road, use at your own risk.

    The problem appears to be that C and C added a new component to the travel package in the AI of the three key Dareloth NPC's needed to start the Thieves Guild quests. This new function appears to have the unintended result of making the meeting never happen. I found the simplest solution for a CS neophyte like myself to be removing the component. I'll walk you through it for my fellow newbies.
    Load C&C as the active file. In the Object Window, open up the NPC Armand Christophe. Click the AI button. In the window that opens peruse AI package list until you see the package TGArmandMidnight*. Double-click. Click on the conditions tab. You will see two functions displayed. One gets info on TG11Heist. DO NOT TOUCH IT. It is part of vanilla oblivion. Amusei and Methredel have others involving TG01BestThief, hands off those as well. The one you want is the malignant function added by this C&C which is called GetQuestVariable and has Function Info of TG00FindThievesGuild. Delete this function. Save and exit Armand. Repeat for Amusei and Methredhel. This should trigger the meeting as normal and I don't expect it to cause any other problems since we've just restored things to their vanilla state. But, if anything does go wrong you should be able to restore your standard C&C by downloading again, reinstalling, and answering yes to overwrite. Backing up saves when monkeying around in the CS is never a bad idea. Hope this helps.

    Fighters and Mages Guild Certificates works fine so far to me.
    Unfortunately the Fighter examiners are stripped me every time, and they never gave back the gear.
    Its quite annoying to summon a horse with saddlebag inside the guild house, get naked I even need to drop my Backpack (inventory is a backpack) because the examiner takes that one too.

    Any way to fix this ?

    Drop the backpack on the ground before talking to the examiner. C&C will handle correctly the remaining items on the character (ie key binded items, etc.)
    I guess the way C&C handles the removal of items on the PC is not compatible with Inventory is a backpack.

    and everybody who's starting a fresh game:

    Do not use it when you start the Thiefs Guild opening quests!

    As niccolo told - i confirm, that the starting quests fail, while Armand is not going/coming to the garden.
    I tried several time, with C&C active and nonactive. In every case, C&C wa actie -Armand was not coming, so the quest never coukd be started!

    I try now to finish the Armand Thief quests, and then activate C&C - but that still requires some playing.

    Does this thread receive any replies from Lingwei/migck? I have a bug I'm wondering if anybody else has had or been able to fix. I was offered the Chorrol recommendation quest (probably by selecting topic 'Earana') before I was offered the certification/spell and after completing the quest I do not have an opportunity to get the certification. Thanks.

    Edit: I figured it out, conjuuration skill must be more than 25 to be offered the conjuration certification dialog. So it is possible to get the recommendation before the certification.

    Hey Sobetan,

    It sounds like you have one of the esps that I had uploaded earlier. Unfortunately due to doing something it caused all of the scripts to be removed from my spells and I didn't realise it until about two days afterwards. However the current esp that is uploaded has all of the spells fixed so you just have to download the Choices and Consequences Update File and install that.

    Sorry about that problem. Also if you like the mod then It would be really cool if you gave it a rating <img class=">



    I have been having tremendous problems trying to download half the files off the nexus, including this one. It downloads a zip file with NOTHING in it.

    Hi there,

    Is there a way to uninstall this mod?
    If I just delete the files the game ctds on startup..
    If I uncheck them on obmm, I'm still referred to get a certificate when I ask for the recommendation at the mage guild.
