This is a very primitive attempt at working with the CS on my part, hence I cannot guarantee that it will be bug-free. However, I've been using it for weeks now, without any noticeable problems, if you find any, be sure to let me know.


Having said that, this plugin does three things:

1. Increases the speed of all horses.

2. Disables all 'returnhome' packages on playerowned/ownable horses, including Shadowmere, Prior Marborel's, Old Nag etc. Now your horses will wander around wherever you leave them. Stolen horses will return home, if you want a horse to remain faithful to you - buy one!

3. Makes the Unicorn essential and lowers his aggression. This means that he can be knocked out to retrieve the horn for Hircine's quest and still be retained.
He will no longer attack you if you wield a weapon but will, if you hit him (even accidentally). I didn't want to change his entire character, just make him more manageable. Why should you bear his attitude, because he is the fastest horse in the game now.
If he turns on you, fast travel away from him (to a secure location where he won't be attacked by other NPCs for attacking you otherwise all oblivion will break lose and there will be much blood spilled) and look him up a day or two later. He won't return to Harcane Grove but will wander around wherever you left him.

I use this .esp with Slof's Horses, and her horse armour compatible version. This mod will not work properly if you are using vanilla horses. Look out for a vanilla compatible plugin in the near future.


This is a BETA version. It's possible the .esp is messy. I still haven't figured out how to work around the CS properly so bear with me. Sometime soon I will come around to cleaning this up but for now I need feedback, hence I'm posting it up here.

Installation:

The archive is supplied with OMOD conversion data.

For manual installation, extract the archive and copy the included .esp into your Oblivion\Data folder.
Check Lithium_Powered_Horses_v0.1B in the Data files using the Oblivion Loader and go.

To convert to an OMOD, click create and point to the unrar'ed contents of the archive. Select 'yes' to import OMOD data. Click create OMOD, then activate the OMOD and Launch Oblivion.
