Can only use one companion per voice; that same voice can't be used on another companion at the same time unless it's deselected.

      Allright, I'm back.
About the merged version not working - what do you mean it's not working? Can you be more specific?
      cheers,

Can you think of any way I can use Calisto for more than one companion simultaneously?

It doesn't matter how hard I tried to install this mod, I just couldn't get it working the simple way.

I wanted this for Katzumico Quiao and Raewyn. When I installed the mod I could read the new lines of text but they weren't really talking.

So I had to use the TES Construction Set to edit these two companions and change their custom races' voice to "Imperial". Now I can see (And hear) Raewyn saying "I love it when you speak to me that way".

Unfortunately, their "battle cries" are not working anymore. Before I tweaked the companion's .esp I could read the lines of their "battle cries" but now they just won't say a word, just an occasional "Ouch" from time to time.

I would like to know how to make a mod like this? I'm planning to extract CJ's voice (San Andreas) for a new sound set. It would be cool to see my companion shouting in the middle of the combat "Get the army, I'm a fukken maniac".

Outstanding work! Haven't used this mod since I was a teen when I first got the GOTY edition years ago and I'm replaying with it again this time. I'm traveling with Divine Avenger's Raewyn (Safana) and Tamara (Mazzy). My character uses the Cernd voice from your Oblivion Sound Sets mod. I love Baldur's Gate as well so getting to experience the game with their voices is quite fun and it adds a nice layer of depth to otherwise silent companions (adding both Baldur's Gate I&II's soundtrack to the game files works well with these also).

Try as I may, I cannot get this mod to work. I have two companions: Heather Golightly and Raewyn. I can cast the spell on them, and text is displayed--but no sound. i extracted everything to Data as instructed. Have I missed something?

    Thanks

      Hello there,

if you can see the text and have no sound that's propably because these companions use some custom race voice... You can try the solution I've put in the readme, or you may try to open the mod referring to the companion in Construction Set and to set his/her's voice to imperial. Be warned though, that it is unrecommended to use Companion Sound Sets on a companion that is related to a quest, as it might break the quest.

      cheers,

      Topic necromancy here...

      Referring to this statement;
"if you can see the text and have no sound that's probably because these companions use some custom race voice... You can try the solution I've put in the readme..."

I couldn't find anything in any readme for the mod regarding this procedure. Any help?

The mod, any companion sound set, makes all the NPC's existent power attack grunts and shouts go mute, the same happens for my player character.

Revisiting a gem of a mod and loving every minute of it. Thank you Brucevayne for sharing this MUST HAVE mod.

I was entering Pale Pass for the umpteenth hundredth time and had Captain Miranda Renault, (Who doesn't say much since she was resurrected), Vilja (Who was the only one talking to herself, AND Ramey (even if she wasn't in the party), Ramey Enfant of course who only speaks when spoken to, A White Tabaxi named "Savannah" who shares Ramey's enfant sound files copied to an Ainmhi voice directory, Bernadette Penneles (Who became an archer in my world.), and Kayla, the cutest little Lolita race from Modular Beautiful People.

I dreaded trudging through the pass in silence. Then I remembered this mod. Renault got Sexy Safana's voice, Ramey got Imoen, Savanna got Jaheira, Bernadette got Mazzy, and Kayla got Nalia. So when the nasty ogre's descended unwittingly into a hellstorm of varied shouts and threats of violence, I smiled so big I almost forgot to swing my sword.

You may not even be looking at your mod any more but I can tell you it is still a GEM! Players may not know that they can get this mod to work with followers of ANY race that is not using the vanilla voices by just copying a provided voice file folder and naming it the race that they are (depending upon what voice that race uses of course.)

Anyway, I'm still smiling as I recall how friendly my precious Captain is to me now, and you sir, definitely helped make that happen. Kudos given.

An old wish and request, if Bruce is still active, was to have Shar-Teel and Alora from Bg1, and after playing the EE version the nostalgia is still there.

I didn't read through all of the comments, just some of them.
I have no issues with this mod affecting the sound files or dialogue of other NPCs once the patch is installed, and it has not damaged any other parts of my game or any other mods.
I get all the desired effects when using the spells to change the voice packages of NPCs and companions, except there are no sound files. I can see text in the captions/subtitles, and it works fine with silent voice mods, I'm just not hearing any actual voices. This is fine and causes no bugs or crashes, but I don't hear the voices I can only read them.
I think I have installed/placed all the files properly, so I am assuming it is a conflict or problem with another mod or something?

Still, it is fun to change the mannerisms and style of my companions, I just wish I could hear it.
This may have been solved in another post, though.

    EDIT:
Well, now I have changed my load order around a bit, some of the voice sets work fine, except for Jaheira, which is the main one I wanted T_T
I've exhausted any attempts I can think of to rectify this, really not sure what could be causing it?
