I tried to make absolutely sure you can´t permanently end up with an edited weapon, or something.

But in any case, you download and use it on your own responsibility, making a backup save before installing is always wise.

Also note the only known bug below - it´s an Oblivion memory bug, and is nothing serious.





What this mod does:

This mod will let you use any ingame melee weapon as a Spear.


This means, that with a single keypress, the normal attack animation of that weapon will use the attack animation of staves.


THE DAMAGE WILL BE REGISTERED *NORMALLY*, AND ALL THE POWERATTACKS WITH THAT WEAPON WILL WORK NORMALLY! :)



How to use?

When you have a weapon in you hand, you can press the key you choosed to change the weapon into a spear.


You can, for example, download this spear for this purpose:

SPECIAL FEATURES, FRUITS OF HARD WORK:
--------------------------------------

If you load a save which includes an edited weapon, the spear will still work.

If you unequip the weapon, and then equip it again, the spear will still work.


If you press the key again with the weapon in you hand, it will reset to "normal".

If you press the key again with another weapon in hand, the edited weapon will reset to normal. Only the second keypress will edit the weapon in your hand.

If you get rid of the weapon, it will reset to normal.



So note that you don´t have to worry about anything strange happening. :)


You can even unequip the spear, use a bow or something, and still have a spear ready in your inventory. Or reset it without even equipping it.



**THE ONLY KNOWN BUG - IS AN OBLIVION MEMORY BUG!**


Editing the weapon and then loading another save may edit that weapon for all saves (where it´s in hand) - BUT ONLY FOR THAT PLAYING SESSION.

Quitting (or having reseted the animation mode) will clear the error from the memory.



How to install?

FIRST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE OBSE v11 OR LATER AND KNOW HOW TO USE IT!!!!

Extract the esp to your Oblivion\data folder, and activave it like any other mod.
