Description
===========

v1.2 is the ESP ONLY! v1.2 is a second attempt at improving compatibility. Should work for OOO, MMM, Frans, vanilla, etc.

This mod makes the guards in every city more diverse in appearance.

- Bruma Gaurds now wear cloaks and have scarfs over their mouths. They no longer wear complete chainmail cuirasses, either. You'll find that although the armor looks similar, they've opted for leather for insulation. Where they sacrifice protection for warmth, they've made up for in brutality. You'll find that they've traded their long swords, which were notorious for getting frozen to their scabbards, for silver maces.

- Anvil and Cheydinhall Guards wear a new steel sallet (helmet) to reflect the wealth of the cities they protect.

- Chorrol Guards looks exactly the same. I didn't change their appearance because I wanted one
city to keep the appearance of the "vanilla" guard. They're unique in that I haven't changed them at all.

- Skingrad Guards are completely armored from head to toe. Not even an eye lash is left exposed. They wear a new knight's helmet. Complimented by the steel gauntlets, greaves, and boots they already have, this makes Skingrad one of the hardest places for a criminal to get around.

- Bravil Guards find themselves lacking in modern apparel. The city doesn't make enough tax revenue to arm their guards with the best equipment. They make do with leather armor and a custom steel/leather helmet. Silver blades are also very expensive, they'll have to make-do with steel blades.

- Leyawin guards take pride in their colors. They too benefit from the steel sallet, although a couple more septims were spent to cover the chainmail with colored padded cloth to match their beautiful city. Leyawin guards, like Anvil, are also much more dangerous than those you'd find elsewhere. They have specially crafted steel gauntlets.

- Kvatch guards would find to have unique armor as well if they had a town to protect. I made no changes to Kvatch's armor.

- I've changed a few things with the officers' equipment as well. Most of the Guard Captains enjoy new armor/weapons. Dion, in Skingrad, has undergone the most radical change as he's opted for a specially crafted steel and padded leather cuirass and coif. At this moment, Dion and Danus Artellion of Skingrad are the only two officers to benefit from new, unique, armor.

- There are even some cases of diversity amongst the city guards themselves! You'll find that the castle guards are even more well armored than the city's patrols. Venture to the dungeons in some towns and you'll find that the jailors enjoy less restrictive helmets.

- I've also added Ghogiel's Bonemold armor to this modification. It wasn't my initial intention as I never intended to create this mod until I was knee deep in it! Take it as a bonus please. Cryo's bonemold helmet is also included. Both can be purchased in the Imperial City Market District by Maro in The Best Defense.

- Modryn Oreyn of Chorrol's Fighter's Guild is wearing the premium Bonemold armor suit.

Location
========
- Every town has different armor.

- Buy the bonemold armor at The Best Defense. Maro, the light armor vendor, is the only one that sells the bonemold armor.

Future Plans
=======
If I get my hands on more armor material that I like, I'll gladly make the guards even more unique!

Install
=======
1. Download v1.0. Download latest ESP (v1.2 in this case). Extract contents to a temporary directory or directly to your Oblivion\data folder.
2. It should only ask you to overwrite if you already have files with these names. Perhaps you've downloaded
Ghogiel's armor resource or Cryo_'s helmet? Overwrite them at your own risk. Back up files if necessary.
3. Enable the SPARTANVIsDiverseCityGuards.esp in the Oblivion Launcher or OBMM.
4. Launch Oblivion!

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file.
2. Delete the appropriate meshes and textures folders for each of the armor pieces. You'll have to hund for these on your own.
