Solstheim Recreated
v1
[MODDER's RESOURCE]

REQUIREMENTS: Shivering Isles + Patch v1.2.0416

This mod contains a remake of Solstheim [on Oblivion's engine], the snowy island from Morrowind's Bloodmoon expansion pack.

The island's shape and size are the same as the original's. The island is decorated and features:
- tress
- plants from the Jerrall Mountains region
- plants from Bloodmoon (Wolfsbane, Ripened Belladonna, Unripened Belladonna and Holly Bush) with Bloodmoon ingredients
- ground textures
- underwater textures
- environment sounds
- regional data (main region names, region-specific weather effects)
- distant landscape (you can even see Vvardenfell from Solstheim)
- a world map

The mod also contains:
- Rieklings (plus some Riekling equipment)
- Riekling Raiders
- mountable Tusked Bristlebacks (wild boars)
- resurrecting Spriggans

The island however doesn't contain:
- ice
- blizzard
- glaciers
- caves
- buildings
- Map Markers (useful for Fast Travelling to locations already found)
- a travel network from Cyrodiil to Solstheim
- quests
- NPCs or creatures placed in the worldspace (with the exception of a few "demo" Rieklings, mountable Tusked Bristlebacks and Spriggans)

"Extras"

Apart from what is listed above, the mod also contains:
- Kagrenac's Tools: Sunder, Keening and Wraithguard
- two sets of Morrowind armour (Netch Leather, Nordic Fur), with Morrowind prices and weights, but with Oblivion meshes and textures
- an undecorated landmass of Vvardenfell, primarily used for distant landscape now, although you can visit and decorate it yourself if you want to
- Blight and Ashstorm weather effects, created by modifying some Oblivion weather effects
- region-specific climate for the island of Vvardenfell
- a mute, compatible 9 second MP3 sound file (to give users enough time to read any new dialogue you might want to add), plus a lip-synch file to suit it (now you have no more excuses for not making lip-synched dialogue)

Modder's Resource

The mod is primarily a modder's resource. It is not intended to offer any challenges or a questline at the moment, but it should be good enough for exploring if you really want to.

By downloading this mod you must agree with the following terms. If you create a mod based on this modder's resource:
a. you may not sell it or use it for any other commercial purposes.
b. you must credit everyone involved in the creation of this mod.
c. you agree to give thePOSTALdude permission to freely use it. This include all files (new models, textures, sounds etc.) in the mod.

And, while this is not required, it is recommended not to redistribute the entire mod, but to simply release a plug-in file that relies on the Master File and provide a link to this mod.

It is also recommended to lip-synch all your new dialogue lines because it's very... very annoying to see an NPC talk without his lips moving. Please, think of how this would ruin an otherwise great mod.

Visit Solstheim

If you'd like to actually visit Solstheim, open up the console (with "~") and type: "cow zzMorrowind -50 65". You'll be teleported near the island. You can also try other cell coordinates and see where you get teleported. Since there are no Map Markers at the moment, there is no Fast Travel either.

Installation Guide (Read, otherwise you'll most likely not know how to install this correctly.)

1) Download all files I have uploaded.
2) Extract the archives.
3) Copy the "DistantLOD", "Meshes", "Textures" and "Sound" folders to the "Data" folder.
4) Also copy the "Solstheim Recreated.esm" Master File to the "Data" folder.
5) Activate the file. Make sure its load order is "01", otherwise the distant landscape will not be visible. Normally, it should get loaded immediately after "Oblivion.esm", if not, you need to either use a mod manager to set the correct load order, or deactivate all other Master Files that you might have (except "Oblivion.esm" of course, which is always needed).
[Optional] 6) Open the Construction Set and create your own plug-ins based on the Master File.

Location of the Tools of Kagrenac

I've placed a "test" chest at cell (-47,70) which contains the tools... among other things. Or, you can open up the console and type:
"player.additem xy0566AA 1" - Sunder
"player.additem xy0566AB 1" - Keening
"player.additem xy0566B5 1" - Wraithguard

Note: "xy" is the load order of the mod. If you followed the installation guide correctly, it should be "01". If not, it can be anything from "02" to "FE".

Location (Cells) of "Demo" Creatures

- 1 Riekling (-48,84)
- 2 Spriggans (-50,70)
- 2 Riekling Raiders + Their Mountable Tusked Bristleback (-48,84)
- 1 Aggressive Mountable Tusked Bristleback (-47,67)
- 1 Friendly Mountable Tusked Bristleback (-47,70) - right near the "test" chest

How to Make Riekling Raiders Mount Boars

You must place a Riekling Raider near a boar. You must then set the boar's "Ownership" to "zzRieklingRaider".

How to Remove Blight from Red Mountain

Go into the Region Editor, click the Region "zzVRegionRedMountain1and2" and deactivate the "Weather" list.
