My apologies. I went back tonight to Bleaker's Way House and there is no Alchemy Set. Then I remembered I had put two houses in the game that night to examine. It was late and I managed to drop in that alchemy set in your house, when it is actually in the other one.The other things I mentioned were accurate, though.
Thank you for paying attention to your details. I think, like tonight, I had simply stayed up too late and was tired enough to mess up that post. Very sorry for my confusion.
One thing, when I re examined the house tonight, maybe it's just me, but I always prefer chests for storage rather than so many display cases. 3 or 4 display cases is plenty, in my opinion. The rest of the goodies can be in chests. The lighting on those downstairs ones seems too bright too.
As I said, you did a pretty good job for a first house. Fair winds to you in your travels.
I am working on getting screenshots, but oblivion screwed up on me ">. However, snowy owlet, i dont remember placing any master alchemy things in there! must be a bug. could you please email me the location of them and i will eradicate them pernamently
I looked it over tonight and you're right there is plenty of storage. All in all there is nothing wrong with the house and it looks good. There is a table upstairs which is sunk through the floor though and you can see the legs when you are downstairs. The interior is styled after the Bruma Hunting Lodges, and really doesn't match the exterior at all. It kinda leaves you wondering how to get to the rest of the house that looks as if it should be there.
There is also one display case that seems weird looking. It is two small ones setting in or on a box or something similar. They open just fine and it all looks like it works fine.
You should tweak that table to it's correct position though and I believe on the desk some books are pushed through each other. Nothing to keep anyone from using the place at all. I notice there is a small quest in Bleakers Way, but I haven't done it and don't know what it is about. Have you checked to see if your house being there harms the quest?
For a first Mod, my hat's off to you! It's not overdone, most things are appropriately placed and the storage and decor is good. It has some things some folks would consider cheats, such as the Master Alchemist items, but that's a personal issue.
Good work. I look forward to seeing your future offerings. Get a few Screenshots.. fix that sunken table. ">
