Just an example how I play that game XD
I wanted to continue with my dungeons mod (some weeks ago); in one cave I had a strange shimmer on the water .. so I took a look into this matter; I also thought about using OR finally; tried it but it didnt fit into my game since I'm using an own enb; the shimmer was strangely related to the weather and daytime what brought me to my ambience mod; I thought that there are some plants and landscape textures to improve .. so I started to rework my ambience mod; I also made this surround light mod at that time which I upgraded it now to version 2 a couple of days ago; I also noticed that my game crashed when I ported to cheydinhal stable; so I had to solve this problem; I took an old backup data folder and no crash with it (after I disabled all mods and the crash remained); so I copied the new content bit for bit into the old folder till I had actually copied the whole data and no crash; still dont know what caused the crash; ok .. lets start a new game I decided .. perfect moment to rework and improve my own race mod .. improving hair, eyes, fangs (upper teeth) and the head mesh .. ok .. done by now; I now also use betties sewer textures .. really awesome; had to change the rusty iron texture though; when I left the starting dungeon I met an imp who sent me his shock bolt as welcome; this shock bolt can really have a better looking effect I thought and remembered that there are setting in CS like fShockBoltCoreColor etc.; ok .. let's play with those settings; by now this effect looks a bit better ..
.. that's where I am at the moment .. working myself throught the ambience mod and things that will spontaneously show up back to the dungeons mod

Sooner or later you end up with modding only, instead of playing the actual game/quest line.
...but for some people modding is the game!
