About this image
Just a demonstration of my custom/more dramatic weather effects.
With the new road texture, venturing out into the wilds of Nordenia on a rainy day feels pretty awesome. I must say, I'm finally starting to get that dark medieval fantasy feel I was initially striving for. The April update, which is coming soon, will feature mostly visual updates to the Realm, including:
- Less floating objects
- Less terrain spikes
- Less missing terrain textures
- Smoother roads
- New road textures
- Complete road networks in Arakaia, Darkwood and Evenia
- Darker weather: Higher chances for precipitation, clouds, fog
- Completely revamped artistic direction for Khitan and Malensia
- The City of Tortuga (WIP -- I will not provide a way to get there, since it is incomplete, but the more curious players may try and find it if they wish)
- New Moon Texture: Soteira finally looks the way it is described in my writings -- as a lush, terraformed moon
Also, this armour (from pale_rider at http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/13591/?) will not be available to players -- It was just something I downloaded in order to model the main character with (who is still unconfirmed -- wanting to eventually support three modes of play: Campaign, Free Roam and Free Roam w/Imported Characters -- Naturally, each mode has its own set of design challenges, and so I feel like Rowan's story will have to wait, and that imported characters will enter Asuron very overpowered once the "rock-paper-scissors" combat system is introduced, but we'll see).
I still have a week left of April, so I'll see what additional content I can squeeze in, but this much that I have listed is guaranteed. Thanks again to everyone who has continued to stand behind this project.
For Asuron!

So many changes/improvements! Do you also sleep sometimes or are you always working?
...actually no wonder with all the idea-ninjas in your head!
