Hey, Bernt, if you click on the "View forum thread" above, you will see the Oblivion picture is on top. Rent to use my space is three bottles of Battle Bunny Beer and it can be bought at The Hoser Hut, just outside the north gate of Bruma. If you can't get the beer, we can have a loogie hocking contest to see who gets this page. Shall we meet on the corner in...oh, say... about a half an hour ? SiteBot has been acting weird of late and cross-linking some things. Oh, I like your second shot, where the babe is doing the kick.
Nice of you to drop by. Always good to widen ones horizon. If you bring the beer I'll bring a couple of bottles of Roentgen rum and some Rot Gut. And never mind the rads - I've got plenty of radaway for both of us
I'll have to reinstall NV since I got a new computer a few months back. Last I recall, my character, Gersilla was down near Nipton, just getting out of a World of Pain. Nice place to get your arse kicked....
This came out very nicely, Bernt! Well done! Sorry, I'm sorta/kinda ninja endorsing here--I've got about 10 pages of images to catch up on. D: I'll blabber on in further length when I have more time.
First off, Fighter's Guild: I respect a man who is confident in himself. My first comment and endorsement of an Oblivion image.
As for Garrett...
Good entry as usual and the images fit very well in helping me picture it all happening. I wasn't expecting Mel to just roll over and accept things, but I wasn't really expecting her to go after the old man hand to hand! Good thing he's got a lot of patience, I'm not so sure I could be calm and let it go if someone was swinging at me.
Thanks for the link, too, I'll have to look into that mod.
Thanks Brigand I was - to be honest- wondering if I had overdone that fight. She'd be cross - yes. But attack him.......! Then again - I thought that to a Khan Bitter Springs holds so much pain and bitter memories of well..... betrayal is perhaps not quite the right word but ...... that she'd never go there without some sort of shock treatment. I remember my own reaction when I had done everything I could and Papa just said "thank you and good luck" before jumping ship! Those feelings in part guided my hand here. Garrett is very concious of himself being some kind of hybrid or android because of the treatment he has paid for and been subjected to. And he did not want to hurt Melissa though he easily could. Partly because he needs her help but also - even more importantly - because he's very fond of her.
I think it turned out just right. I'm certainly not disagreeing with how you did it. What you did was good and you did it well.
This might come out weird, though I hope the underlying thought comes through intact... I wasn't alive at the time, so I only have the account from others about what it might have been like to have served in Vietnam. The people I've talked to about it that were there are still bitter to this day. I know someone who served during that affair and even married a Vietnamese woman whom he loves dearly; he's still incredibly bitter about the experience and upset at how it all happened.
If that's the thoughts and feelings of someone on "our" side of it being that angry with those responsible for his having gone through it I can't imagine his feelings toward the "other side" would be any better. That's the position Melissa is thrust into. She went through it all and survived and now she's being asked to essentially waltz into the proverbial lion's den with a smile on her face. Until now I'd not even fully followed the train of thought and I can't fault you for it one bit. On top of that, it's your story and you're the only one truly qualified to say what goes where in it.
Thanks Aussie He learned from the best - Veronica spent many hours trying to knock some sense into his thick skull. And those implants help out a bit too
WOW! Melissa sure went off at Garrett, he's lucky he blocked most of those kicks, otherwise he would visiting the Doc again, Bitter Springs, leave a bad taste in your mouth, and what the hell, Vipers disguised a soldiers??? that's a bad turn of events
Thanks Des Well, he's seen her in action quite a few times. Not least that memorable day when she and Rose became BFFs Those disguised raiders are actually pretty nasty. High level and well armed. And if you hesitate -which I do to make sure I do not shoot a soldier- you'd better break out a couple of super stims!
Fabulous. So, Melissa, you have some strong opinions about Bitter Springs, do you? She certainly let that be known. As you know Melissa is one of my favorite characters as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Great shot with Steven blocking Melissa's kick.I'll quit now, as I could continue to gush for another page or two. *bowing respectfully*
Wow - (Blushes) Thank you very much Cormell. Considering it is coming from a master writer like you........ Appreciate it very much. And - btw- Melissa is about as much part of my load order as Willow is - indispensable

As far as I know it's like this:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7.
Unless if there has been a recent change and it's now this:
1 2 3 4 5 7.

Great read
Cheers
Just like Mel to want to kill Garrett one minute and save his wrinkled ass the next
