This mod is absolutely essential! The kind of mods that needs to be Updated. Since, up to this day, there is no way to disable in game options either LENS FLARES nor Motion Blur which may damage your eyesight in the long run.
I like your mod, I wanted to ask what is not related to your mod how to eliminate the bright flashes that occur: at the start of hyper-speed, at the end of hyper-speed, at the start of scanning on a spaceship, at the start of the visor on the planet. I hope I found the correct file responsible for this is NMSARC.5D36844D.pad. After decompilation, in which you need to take files starting with LENSFLARE_FRAG ....... SVP I was able to convert them into a readable version with the extension .glsl, but I just can not compile it back into SVP. Can you help create a mod that removes these flashes?
This (and any other lens flare removal mod) causes a circle of low res textures to follow me around, as in around my character there is a light that removes high quality textures from around my body, about a meter or two in diameter.

Huh.....cannot imagine why. You downloaded the V1.3 mod, so you're running Atlas Rises right? Can you put up a screenshot.
The other lens flare mod you tried may have changed something that's still having an effect. You should delete your shader cache and see if that helps.
Edit: Are you using any other mods that modify shaders?
Not for me! Back when the game first came out I played the sh*t out of it. Came back to it for Pathfinder and hated these new light effects. Edit: Looks like these effects were in the original game and I just forgot. Either way I don't enjoy them. And there wasn't any way, that I could find, to remove only some of the flares.
