Bug/Glitch Image I'm just going to leave this post here in case someone comes up with the same bug but doesn't have 100 mods like I do, that way it's annoying to look for the cause of it, the bug so far has only occurred with the Gobi Sniper, other weapons work perfectly, mods I use for scopes are B42 Optics and Another Millenia B42 Optics patch, if anyone has an idea of what could be causing this I will certainly try to fix it, I don't know much about lines of code but the simplest ones I can change just fine
I'm using a slightly modified WSG modlist, I've got 247 mods which is probably irrelevant. However, despite a few B42 mods being on the list, the scope ones aren't. I'm running PSRO (Peripheral scope reticule overhaul) only. Just consoled in a gobi and there's no issues. I've got world/1st person FOV at 75 and global 0.01 with this clip distance mod.
Awesome mod, but what is hip mode? You mean hip firing? If I press right alt during that nothing happens.
"The change to clip distance will only be applied if you are using the iron sight or after equipping the weapon if you're using a hip mode, after that it will be reset to the default value."
Being unsure of what you mean by hip mode I am unsure what you mean here, what will cause it to default?
How do I remove any changes the mod makes if I decide I want to revert everything back to baseline? Does removing the mod achieve this? I set my ini to:
[Settings] ; Allows to set different Clip Distance for every weapon modification. DEFAULT: 0 bConsiderMods=0 ; Allows you to adjust Clip Distance without aiming. DEFAULT: 0 bHipMode=0 ; Global CLip Distance value that by default all weapons use. DEFAULT: 0.01 (disabled) iGlobalCD=0
is that correct for globals, I wasn't sure what the iGlobalCD=0 meant.
Sorry for long comment, thank you for the great mod.
Hip mode - just equipped/unholstered weapon. After unequipping weapon in hip mode clip distance will be reset to default. To remove any changes that mod made just delete it. To edit global clip distance you need to edit the parameter itself, not the comment of it. Global clip distance it's the default value of clip distance that will be used if no particular clip distance value was set for the weapon.
Perhaps put some further details about the .ini in the mod description? For amateurs like me. It's easy and simple once you know, but many people will be clueless as they're following the WSG most likely being led every step having little or no experience changing mod ini files. I didn't realise the hip fire mode had to be activated in the ini, and wouldn't understand what the mod option ini means. Also, I noted that uninstall does remove changes, but a fresh reinstall returns them, it's worth letting people know they can bork things if they mess around with a load of weapons and forget which ones they've messed with, or at least cause themselves an inconvenience having to manually change them all later as they discover them. Is there a way to actually permanently reset to baseline when using the mod? If so let us know in the description maybe. Just a friendly suggestion not a criticism, I appreciate what all modders do for us all.
It works good for weapons i can ADS with, but for scoped weapons I can't adjust the normal viewmodel...Is there a way around this? Ok, I found a solution but I can't delete comments so no need to reply
Hello there. This mod is exactly what I was looking for. Would it be possible to set a global value for all weapons (and those not obtained yet) from the get-go ?
I only play in first person, and using 0.01 for my current shotgun and pistol works great. I'd like to set everything to the same, so I do not need to do it on a per-gun basis. If this is somehow possible, that would be awesome.
sorry i couldn't replicate it again it happened in a previous playthorught with AM snipers whose scopes were so close player could see inside if it happen again im goin to try to record it with details
sort of, mainly for hip mode. b42 optics sets its own clip distance when going into the scope, so it wouldn't clip. i don't see why anyone would want to increase clip distance as it would result in optics clipping. now clip distance just returns to what it should be after releasing aim button.
I was having a similar issue when trying to use New Vegas Animation Overhaul - Guns with weapon zooming disabled in Stewie Tweaks. Without any scopes, I would get clipping when ADSing, most likely caused by the lack of zooming, which the animations were probably not made for.
This mod would fix the clipping, but as soon as I stopped aiming, the changes I made to the specific weapon would get reset, and the clipping would come back. I "fixed" things by just using the global clip distance setting instead, and setting it to 0.01.

is there a way to not reset with using optics?

Mouse wheel right now controls my weapon change so if I enable this mod and try to use the mouse wheel it changes the gun not the clip distance.
