If you want to have a more subtle but also more (IMHO) immersive experience with this mod in conjunction with Desert Natural Weathers, set Speed=30 (first value under [Display] in the CloudUpgrade.ini) instead of 100. The original value of 100 is way too intrusive. With [Global]Speed=30, this is an excellent mod. Thanks for this, Doodlezoid!
I also reduced the MaxSpeed. Reducing only Speed means the clouds will move fast less frequently, not that they'll have a lower top speed. You can see this by putting Volatility to 0, which eliminates the randomness.
Wish this had been available a few years back when I made a weather mod, nevermind.
Know how you feel about the negativity around here, pulled several mods myself because of it. Back when I started here, people were, for the most part, grateful for modders and their work, now it seems, the Nexus is a victim of it's own success and users just expect to be handed mods as their birth right.
True enough, but I noticed that level of negativity varies wildly from game to game.
Stardew Valley community is amazing. Skyrim community is pretty chill friendly. Morrowind and Oblivion communities are also welcoming and nice.
New Vegas? Hit or miss. Remember the guy who posted that unnecessary mod to load NVSE from the launcher? People could've politely explained it wasn't really needed. He posted it in FO3, and people explained that Anniversary Patcher was superior. Yet here people just went balls to the wall insulting him and saying dumb crap like "this mod will be taken down".
Get over yourselves. If you plan on using FNV modding to build a programming/developer resume, keep in mind that people in the industry will also factor in a bullshit attitude and overbearing arrogance as part of that resume.
Yeah it's unfortunate. For whatever reason, this game seems to attract the shittiest, most sub-human, scum. Not every fan obviously, but we all know the type, and New Vegas has them in spades even compared to.... just about any other fandom out there.
This place is full of children who don't know how to behave. Another problem is spoiled mod authors who whine about everything (looking at OP here, *cough* *cough*). Grow a pair and stop whining - I ain't posting mods here anymore too but I don't see a reason to whine about it, just deal with it you pussies.
The FNV community is quite toxic and has this weird Enclave Remnant veteran attitude. They crap over anything including other Fallout games and heck, they have a own Reddit sub for their game which btw is also really toxic and shitpost filled. While its mostly users, some modders also seem to have a god complex and trying to remotely talk with them ends in not getting any kind friendly discussion going or you are outright silenced and riduculed without being able to state something since you are banned or any kind of comments being removed. I personally stopped bothering commenting here. Its just not worth it, unless I can help someone or have a question myself but that happens all few months...
Anyone remember the Frontier controversy? It had some stuff in it others deemed questionable and it was hated and destroyed since no dev wants to do anything with it anymore, despite them spending years on the awesome mod. I think there was meant to be some revival mod but pretty sure it was canceled too. Why should anyone spent their lifeblood for something like this when you get this toxicity here? And you know what the saddest? The FNV modding community is probably the most skilled of all Bethesda games and the sheer wonders they are able to do with the engine, especially in 2023 is just mindblowing in comparison to Skyrim or Fallout 4, where half of the released mods are smut. Yet a lot of the community destroys this by being horribly toxic. The amount of mods and modders that pulled out from over the last decade here is sad.
I don't know why anyone would give any modders any crap. I've piddled around with the geck and it takes more skill/patience/ability than what I have to make a mod. Nice work on the weather...

Edit: I've had to hide and report multiple instances of users getting harassed by others. Stop it.

Is there a way to fix this?
