WMVM is an excellent mod that addresses a fairly major issue in vanilla: the inability to acquire weapon mods without randomly having them pop up in a vendors inventory. However, the vending machines themselves are not to my personal taste. So, I have created an alternative implementation that accomplishes the same task while still preserving the relative rarity of weapon mods and WMVM's original intent to have the mod vending be somewhat easter-egg in nature.
This mod adds a new magazine, "tacticool weekly", to the magazine leveled lists. When used, it will simply take you to WMVM menu and provide access to all of its functions. Sort of like mail ordering your weapon mods. If you choose not to purchase a weapon mod when you use the magazine, or do not have enough caps, you'll get the magazine back. Now obscure weapon mods are more accessible without being trivialized either.
Automatically compatible with ySI, no additional work required!
A brief note: I ended up tearing out the MCM entirely. It didn't work when I started removing the vending machines themselves, no doubt because the MCM has the ability to turn them on and off. The value modifiers are completely changeable via the console, simply consult the original page for instructions.
While I have obviously edited it, the meat of the scripts here are all those of Ghostifish and his original mod. While not technically necessary, please download and endorse his mod, as the heavy lifting was done by him, including identifying and rectifying this issue in the first place.
