This is a stripped down, non-replacer of the Colt Rangemaster from the illustrious Arsenal Weapon Overhaul. Features optional 2 round burst fire!

Overview:
I've personally got a couple different mods covering things like the service carbine, all-american, etc., but the Marksman Carbine->Colt Rangemaster AWO replacer was just too gorgeous, and I had to make a non-replacer to integrate it into the game. Thanks to the unexpected, wonderful offer to let me rehost the necessary assets, this is a standalone file!

Features:
  • It's been renamed the Designated Marksman Rifle, and it has half the max spread of the Marksman Carbine. I also changed it's ammo to .45-70 (updated in the magazine too!), reduced the clip size to 10, and increased it's damage and strength requirements to match the new ammo.
  • Starts to appear around level 21, level 15 in places like NCR and Legion hit squads, and from the start on Elite Rangers.
  • Only repairs using itself.
  • It also uses the Survivalist's Rifle sounds from the original mod, to add punch.
  • It's modded by sniper rifle carbon fiber parts, hunting rifle scope, and the sniper rifle suppressor.
  • There's a unique version named I-50 that comes with the scope and frame mods by default. It's located on a ranger's dead body, near the red rocks to the east of where you exit that train tunnel from the boomers', directly north of the train cars. It has slightly improved damage, slightly slower handling, and it has an optional 2-round burst fire setting, turned on by default, and it can have a suppressor attached.

Requirements:
JIP LN, xNVSE, Johnny, the usual stuff.
There is an included json for use with Clean Animations - Service Rifle.

Installation:
Regular installation.

Compatibility:
This file doesn't have any conflicts with Anniversary Anim Pack, the other weapons in the original replacer did, but the DMR didn't have any problems.

Internally patched for S6S Perks and DMT.
 
Questions:
Why change it to .45-70?
To give more use for that ammo type, and make a nice, highly powered rifle to fit with the cool model.
