To anyone who plays with a mod that lower player carry weight, in order to lower the weight of the tent, do a few things.
Use either FNVedit. FNVedit is what I used for this, because the G.E.C.K cant load more than one ESM.
go to ingestibles, there you'll see three items.
Go to weight, and click on the number next to it, (ignore the warning you get from FNVedit)
Adjust the weight to what you consider balanced. For instance, on the main Camp piece I adjusted it from 50 to 10. Do this for the other two if you desire.
Adjust anything else for the mod. Exit out, and press OK when there is a popup showing the DesertNomad.esp.
Ta-Da! You adjusted the mod to your liking. Hopefully this helps anyone who needs this fix badly.
I would like to see some tribal-style tents, maybe even craftable using survival skill? I imagine a gecko leather tent, held together with lead pipes and sticks.
The only recommendation I have, more of a request really, is to add a few more container upgrades to the canvas tent. I use the absolute s#*! out of this as my main home (love the work, it's my favorite home so far) but have been having to dump all of my ammo (and ammo parts; cases, powders etc), armor, and weapons in the caravan crate.
It's not that big of an issue really, would just prefer to have at least an ammo box or something to store those things separately. Otherwise, fantastic work. Honestly instant classic for me and can't see myself ever playing without it now.
I think cool things to add to the mod would be a chemistry set and a plant spot/vase since being nomadic I imagine you would have to make chems and harvest your own plants in order to survive the wasteland.
I think it would be logical to remove fireplace from the tent. The tent doesn't have any ventilation, which could lead to suffocation if fireplace is put there. Stove could be put there... From Sierra Madre...
It would be nice to have a lamp hanging at the center of the tent with strong light to illuminate the tent.
I believe that the workbench is kind of... Very strange to haul around. Maybe toolbox and small reloading tool would be more lore friendly and logical.
Additional sleeping bag would be nice as well. After all, you are not always alone.
As for containers... Logically they should be sacks (IRL they are really light), medbox and maybe some ammo containers.
the author of CampFires Expanded has a perk called Burning Man, which grants bonuses near campfires. Can you add it to your mod? you just have to credit him.
This mod is awesome, thank you! Goes really well with the Highwayman or any similar vehicle mods. The only thing missing is maybe a few more storage containers, just for the sake of organization? They could very well be just a bunch of sacks, cause I agree it wouldn't make sense for the Courier to be hauling around multiple boxes every time he moves.
yo!!! I was wandering if I could make a lore friendly patch for this to work with DUST Survival Overhaul, if you wanna talk somewhere else my discord is ogtariq29
I am playing a TTW game. Does anyone know the item codes for the lean-to and the portable campfire? I would like to use them in Capital Wasteland. Thanks!
You may (probably) have already figured this out, but whenever you find a mod you like, a great thing to do is click on the "requirements" section at the top of the description -- it'll also list any mods that require the mod you're looking at. In this case, you'd easily find that a TTW patch already exists for this.
I know author probably already abandoned the mod, however does anyone what would be the easiest way to remove the campfire from inside the canvas tent? Absolutely best version would be to remove it from inside the tent and make it appear in front of the tent but I guess that'd be even harder to achieve + the standalone campfire can be used for that anyway.
Love this mod. Just figured I'd suggest to remove the credits file with the download. My end game credits were messed up and I found out it was the credits.txt from this mod overwriting the default nv credits.
I've been enjoying this mod so much in my hardcore playthrough, thanks! But I have this one issue, each time I enter the tent and walk outside, awful LOD textures appear on surrounding buildings like the bungalows and dino in Novac. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? (I placed my tent right next to the gas station in Novac. Maybe I should set up my camp where there are no buildings near it?)

Again, thank you for the great mod!
I want to try to get a sense of hunkering down somewhere and using these to set up campsites in subways, abandoned buildings, etc?
