I've made a simple .esp that fixes the issues with the regular version of the helmet.
Going through FNVEdit, it appears that the Reinforced version has a Texture Set in Alternate Textures in the Male biped model section, so I just created a texture set for the regular version and applied to its entry.

Here's the link if anyone wants to try it. Also, I give total permission for Cameron71 to reupload my file, and if he does upload it to here or somehow fixes this mod some other way, I'll take down my page :-)

the problem is that the mesh is still pointing to nonexistent textures. the helmet part (not the glass part) references "nvdlc01helmetm02.dds" and "nvdlc01helmetm02_n.dds", both of which don't exist in the vanilla files or in the mod files. i changed them myself to "nvdlc01helmetm.dds" and "nvdlc01helmetm_n.dds" respectively, and it fixes the flickering issue without an .esp. hopefully the author sees this comment and it's not too late to fix it once at for all, and I can provide the fixed version if need be.

You still got that fixed version kicking around, man? Doesn't seem likely the author's gonna fix it any time soon.

Seems like the issue mention by TheSovMan below is still occurring. The texture on the regular version of the helmet flickers and changes like the armor texture has been applied to the helmet.

its what i was looking for since the opaque helmet seem rather odd,  and managed to load it manually into the game, no mod installer or anything but my texture is all warped, instead of using a helmet texture it used the whole armor texture and applied it into the helmet :-/

any clue what could have gone wrong? Using Steam version with no other mods installed

I corrected the path. It should work now. If it doesn't PM me.

Flickering texture issues are still present (only on the normal helmet, reinforced is fine).
Also, there's an issue with facial hair popping in and out--it's like the space suit helmet which also makes all hair pop in and out (although according to Sandbox6 on YUP, the hair issue "probably isn't fixable"). This mod had the hair issue too, so maybe all hair has issues being seen through alpha textures.
Surprisingly, you're the only modder I've seen try to fix the visors on the SM security armors (Vault 34 armor would be nice too). Guess that transparency hair glitch might've been a small part of the problem.

I don't know what could be going wrong. Download manually and open with win rar or 7-zip. It's a nif file loaded as Data/meshes/nvdlc01/armor/sierramadresecurity/nvdlcsierramadrehelmet.nif

I just re-downloaded it again and the nif file is there. There is a possibility I mis-spelled one of the files I guess.

      Edit; Fixed it.

      LOLz.

IRL I just spent an hour taking paint off a fire rated door frame tag. I can see my character with a sharp screw driver and a mallet chipping that stuff off like I did.
