I like the idea from the mod however, I feel like it wasn't done very well. The sights are super low res. and does not have any sort of guide for you when you shoot the plates. The ammo is tedious to make because you need 10 plates everytime. Shooting by far what the worst. Not only do I hate grenade launchers in this game, the toaster shoots just like it. The idea and thoughts behind the mod had a lot of potential, but it feels like it was done poorly. Just wish there was a better execution
Well by technicality, it is my first mod, I didn't model it and can't texture, cept in rudimentary.
The ammo is supposed to be tedious, as the plate gun can be vastly OP early on.
And, as far as shooting goes, I like the physics of the weapon and how it shoots, personal view, don't use a toaster long range.
I worked on this mod for a while and can say the problems you are experiencing are by and large problems I chose, instead of have a plate gun that shoots a physicless proj, I made it gravity affected. That spawns its own issuses, as well as would have for what you wanted.

A couple of things were scrapped due to lack of experience. Specifically, scripting and the likes. Like he said, it was a first mod.
These are all totally valid criticisms. It's just a lot of was out of the league of what could be done. Stuff like models and textures, also.
Not trying to give you a snarky answer, but if you want you can edit the stuff yourself. It's a super simple mod and you could change the crafting lists to include less stuff and maybe get rid of the sight. As for the firing, I think it's fine as it is, but I don't think there's much that can be done.
For the super low res stuff, if you change the model to use the 1stperson variants of the vanilla textures they're a lot higher resolution. just a little pointer
