UPDATE 1: Looks like I fucked up and accidentaly released the debugging version, which instantly gives you illnesses and stuff like that. I've uploaded the right file as version 1.1. Sorry for the inconvenience.
UPDATE 2: Ok, so I've added an optional addon which allows the doctors to cure you from illnesses through the "I'm hurt" dialogue. Careful though, it may create incompatibily issues with other mods that modify vanilla dialogue.
UPDATE Version 1.2:NOW IT REQUIRES JIP AND LUTANA NVSE EXTENSIONS Fixed a script error that could cause a savegame bloat; Made it even more compatible than before, with only vanilla leveled lists being modified in order to add the Antibiotics; You now get Weakness only if you have 2 or more illnesses; - removed this change in v1.4; Added Antibiotics to more leveled lists in order to make them less rare.
UPDATE Version 1.3: Fixed a major bug where you could catch the parasites illness, caused by other NPCs eating/drinking "bad" consumables. Made the antibiotics a little more effective at combating illnesses; The Old World Blues Autodoc will cure you from all illnesses when selecting the "Basic Physical Exam" option; When you catch an illness, you are informed of what kind of illness you got, instead of the vague "You have caught an illness." message; Converted this mod to an ESM file.

For each 2 points in Endurance, the maximum number of illnesses you can have is reduced by 1. For example, with an Endurance stat of 1 - you can have all the 6 illnesses at the same time, with an END of 2 - a maximum of 5 illnesses are allowed, with an END of 4 - a maximum of 4 and so on. An endurance of 10 means you can only have one illness(either Parasites or Infection) and nothing else; Reverted the change from v1.2 where the Weakness illness requires you to have more than 2 illnesses.
UPDATE Version 1.5: Warning: follow the instructions at the "Uninstallation" section of the main page before updating to version 1.5. Merged with Doctor Cure Addon from update 1.2. The file is now an ESP again.
Posting this here, was playing with this mod installed. Not sure what happened but I got 4 out of the 6 diseases. The owb autodoc did not cure anything. Upon loading my game my hunger kept going all the way up to max till I died. The only way for me to fix this was to do player.disapelallspells and fixed it. Not sure what part of this mod did it but it was this mod. Hope this gets fixed or worked on still as this is the only mod that adds these affects. hope this helps someone.

theres no "im hurt doc" dialogue option when talking to julie farkas, i really love the idea of this mod but it feels way too punishing and random without any customisation that and there hasnt been an update since 2017
Yeah can confirm. Was wondering why I was moving around. Eventually realised it was due to being hit in melee and traced it back to this mod. Unsure if this is specifically because of this mod or the way the parasite damage is interacting with another mod.
Mod doesn't work. I spawned 3 mole rats as mod poster said (new game, hardcore mode on ofc, luck set to 1) and nothing happened. Drank dirty water for 10 minutes and still nothing.
same here, Ive noticed a LOT of people with this exact complaint on a lot of mods this week, and I believe it may have something to do with the newest windows 10 update, which I know I updated to (against my will) recently. B42 mods, animated chems/foods, ultimate illness mod, any bullet time that replaces the VATS function, all have shown up in my MCM but have no effect whatsoever in game recently. By recently I mean I just started modding NV again this week, four days ago, and these are my experiences. I suspect the Author of each mod will have to do some kind of edit to accommodate windows 10 updates, though I dunno what that entails, but I know some Authors have already had to do so and managed. Regardless, Kudos to the author for this mod, it really sounds badass and I hope to be able to use it one day soon :D Thanks for all the hours spent in the GECK for our entertainments sake! <3
I love the idea but the illness effect feels too random for me. I have no idea how I got the sickness despite what the description page said. I felt the system was annoying rather than challenging. I wish there is some lead-up to getting illness but right now, it feels too random. I was expecting a system like in The Long Dark where it is clear how the player got their sickness.
Still, playing this mod reminds me to visit doctors more often. I guess getting sick in post-apocalyptic Mojave is more common than in modern world and sometimes people may get sick for unknown reasons lol.
Maybe it's just my load order, but this mod gives diseases way too often. In the Fallout 4 system - you get infections from being bitten, parasites from eating raw food, and fatigue/lethargy from not sleeping/drinking dirty water etc.
In this mod, I get parasites from eating sealed pre-war food, infections from animal encounters where I wasn't even damaged by them, and the other diseases seemingly at random even if all my needs are at 0.
For those wondering whether the mod works based on some of the comments, I can confirm it does. Loaded it up with DUST, drank terrible toilet water, went to sleep--and realized I had parasites.
I love this mod. I always play F4 in survival and have grown use to having these mechanics. It adds another layer of immersive difficulty. Have you looked at the Agony mod for F4? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25600 It adds more depth with antibiotics only curing infections, with new medications added that affect the other illnesses.
