1) Your mod depends on all DLCs, including the cheat packs, but requires only the base game. You can use FNVEdit's "Clean Masters" function to remove unnecessary dependencies.
2) Some of the descriptions are too large to be readable in load time.
You can alter how long each individual loadscreen takes to change in the ini files. I've changed mine so they take 3 seconds longer and pull from a screen pool 5 bigger than normal.
Ah, I might try to give each loading screen it's own image then. It always bothered me how they repeated. The mod looks great, I haven't tried it yet though because in my current playthrough I've manipulated the lore a lot.
Well adding item descriptions would need far more work since New Vegas does not have offcial tab to enter any writing about items. It can be fixed with NVSE and some other people mods or just using pipboy picture.
Oh, that is kinda cool. Especially with some unique items or very specific ones for some factions.
Like Benny's "Maria" could have more backstory or urban legends around it. Or another idea giving player surgery report from Legion attacks or prewar reports/comercials about Energy Weaponry(oh, I like this two) or biography of their creators.
That's a bit outside the scope of this mod, as I am trying to go off of source texts. (Deviating a bit to include some material from the Wasteland series, but since that's written by the same team as other source texts, I'm calling it kosher). Feel free to come up with your own lore and make some loading screens, though!
So here my text; (please translate to english as usual )
"Laser Gatling gun is prewar miracle. There is no real practical point to make rotating laser since elements does not overheat like traditional guns. Gun Runner named Joe belived the construction was made just for Soldier entertainment to relive glory of original Gatling with much lesser metal input. Resolution war proved it was bad idea"
If you don't like it remember; I'm still learning how to write in English so my ideas can sometimes sound wierd or creepy .
Loving these "Narrative Expansion" mods, they add a LOT of flavour to the game, even for someone like me, who's been playing New Vegas since release. You have any more plans for the future regarding this series of mods? I'd love to hear about it, because something like this is never enough
Hey, thanks! Yeah, I do have some plans. I'm re-working Narrative Expansion 1, which should be done this week. Depending on how ambitious I get I'll probably try an overall name edit (creatures, items, locations), to bring it in line with the lore. For example, Wolfhorn Ranch is Ulysses' Ranch in every localization of the game except English. So that's one that could easily be changed. I'm also thinking about the messages in the game. Not to mention I'm helping another modder with the writing on his! I have a full plate.
Don't forget to endorse! Helps me out. And thanks again for the encouragement.
