I modded this in GECK to use .44 ammo, and fire all 4 barrels at once, and have a Str of 9 requirement to use properly - now it's a real elephant rifle! Also added it to several high-level NPC's to use, too.
You know, if this was chambered in something like .45-70 or, even better, .50 MG it would actually be a fair representation of some real 19th Century guns used by rich British knobs to hunt elephants (and lions and tigers and bears, oh my). They were heavy, not very good at long range and kicked like a mule, but the reason people carried them - and called them "stopping rifles" - was because they were meant to reliably and literally STOP a charging water buffalo in its tracks before it would gore your guts out and trample your skull into mush. Might come in real handy in case of deathclaws, you know?
I'm a big fan of 19 early 20 century hunting style rifles, I was playing low level so made this gun to fill the vacuum of decent .357 rifle for Monster Mod. I was going to make something bigger caliber later on, but then abandoned this game, no idea when I will have any time for finishing .375 H&H bolt rifle or the double barrel/over under .50 cal I wanted to make.
