Also be sure to submit screenshots, so I can make sure the ENB is exactly the same as it appears in the photos I took. ( Can make sure you've installed it right )

Also, I don't use night vision mods, so anyone that uses night vision, can you see if it's compatible for me? , Not sure how much ENBs are compatible with night vision, but if I've managed to inadvertently make it night vision compatible then I've really scored gold.

Puretone is unfortunately not Night Vision friendly. I remember LW was trying to make it compatible and achieved some good success with it. But just as his Puretone palettes he has never released it. The Enhanced ENB Night vision mod, which modifies the enbeffect file with new image space parameters so one can tweak night vision, scopes, and the other two PN's vision modes, does not work well with Puretone because of extensive code already in place. The resulting image is not good. Not to mention the mod has a plugin that people need if they wish to remove the green tint flash after every explosion; it resets various vanilla image space modifiers, but that makes some noticeable changes to the enb presets as well. Night vision just isn't an option if the enb isn't made with it in mind from scratch.

Mind doing a test run with this ENB for me anyway just to be sure this isn't compatible? Just to see how nightvision looks with this on.

It's possible after a long duration of configuring it might of had an impact on the overall look of nightvision

On second thought i'll see about installing a night vision mod and doing a test

For the next time it's easier if you just take one of the vanilla night vision scopes, e.g. Ratslayer. Cateye would do fine as well to see if IMODs work.

      Here's LW's night vision test: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/images/81969/?
You could ask him what happened that the progress stopped.

By the way, the enb looks fantastic, but the overly dark shadow parts are not for me. Also, if one wants to play with darker nights, that unfortunately exposes several lighting problems that are shared among most enbs: glowing lakes, too aggresive reflections on weapons that use a specular map, glowing birds in the sky, very bright dust storms during the night, and some more. Such a shame for these annoyances because the look of it during the day is a marvel.

About the shadowing, I wanted to capture a more realistic post apocalyptic feel, I wanted to make it feel like the shadows were more intensified and burned onto the landscape from the blast, and also add that blackness , post apocalyptic realistically would be a lot darker, but I know that wouldn't work in fallout if everything was pitch black.

The night times though, for me, are complete pitch black and i'm not having such issues, there isn't a mod that is making your nights brighter is there?

But yeah I recommend making sure you have the requirements, nevada skies etc, and turning brightness all the way down, ENB transparency fix may help also.

I'll see how fixing the glowing birds issue/reflection issues. But usually disabling reflections on the launcher, and shadows, and specular helps because the ENB has it's own features for all of that

I'm going to upload more screenshots while i'm at it to highlight the best areas where you can see the ENB come to life. the ENB changes dependent on the area you are in, time of day and weather type.

So i've done an update, I'm going to release another version, more of a fix, so the glowing issues should be fixed now for some that may not have configured or don't know how to configure some of the settings properly , not that you haven't or don't, it's just a self-tweaked version to save people the effort of configuring their settings properly.

I'll be uploading it as a seperate file called The King Preset (Revised Version) perhaps you might like to try it, I've kept the shadowed theme/look however, but generally during the day, everything is looking good. Hopefully you'll understand the idea behind the shadowing and how it fits in with the nuclear wasteland.

( Update: New Revised version released, see if that fixes your glow problems )

I apologize for my late response. Nexus, as usual, does not notify about replies in the comment section if you're not an original poster, so I forgot.

I must first say that I don't use Puretone or your preset, otherwise by now you would have already had at least one endorsement (but I'm going to endorse it anyway, because you put effort in this mod, and you don't deserve to sit on 0).

I made the shadow remark because I noticed it on the screenshots. Although NV is supposed to be less nuclear due to House's countermeasures that made it largely untouched by the bombs, I have personally no problems with your vision.
I actually use a diff. enb - the one made together with URWLNV (on moddb) - that also works with night-vision because I cannot go without that in my game. I have only tested Puretone (just the version made for URWLNV) and I got the lighting problems I described more obvious when I tried to make the nights darker, because it doesn't have dark nights at all. If you devised a darker nights version and you don't have these issues, then you hit a jackpot

Hi Guys - I did have presets and some work finished on night vision however i got involved in something else and moved on - sorry bout that. Puretone had some tricky effect sheet stuff that was crucial to its look but also difficult to work with in the night vision area. I may revisit it in the future but in the meantime please feel free to play around with it and do as u wish.

Thanks, feel free to try out the preset if you like, and see how it contrasts with puretone for future ideas, who knows you might end up making a preset, of a preset, from a preset, in a preset ( Insert pimp my ride meme here )

You can disable the UI by entering TM in the console. That way the UI is gone and you get nice, clean pics

Oh, right, thanks, the UI doesn't cover too much though, + it might be nice for some to see how the UI contrasts over the ENB. (Presentable) etc
