I wonder if someone will revisit this with an AI Claptrap voice. that'd be really cool. either way, I'm happy I get to bring my little annoying personality with me in the Mojave.
people are complaining that Claptrap isnt using the Borderlands actor, well of course not! do you think that some professional actor is going to do his magic for free?? get over it, would be nice but that's not happening... in any case here to say cool mod, i'm all about Robotic companions in Fallout (RL-3 was my buddy!) so i'm glad that someone took the time to put Claptrap in the game and give him a vibrantly obnoxious personality, it's a proper crossover mod.
Really disappointed the with the voice, not only is it not even close to either one of his voice actors, but it's screechy and hurts to listen to. Wanted this mod so badly but can't deal with hearing that. Is there any way to get an unvoiced version?
You actually WANTED claptrap in your game? I've played and replayed BL 1 all the way down to 3 and just looking at the images of this little guy in new vegas made me cringe!
But yeah, the guy above me in the comments is right, if CL4P-TP's screechy voice hurts your eardrums, it's working as intended. :)
Overall this mod works really well. I'm impressed. There is one thing though, the voice... IMHO it's very irritating (to me at least). There should be plenty of source material out there to use the original voice but of course I don't know how to do that. I don't mean to complain as I said overall it's a great mod, but for whatever reason it's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me and I find myself wishing I he would just shut up. It's kinda killing the enjoyment for me. I'm probably going to end up removing this mod just because of that issue and that's a shame because I really like it otherwise.
Claptrap is not cloaking when enter stealth ( when i crouch ).He says the dialogue as if he is cloaked but he is not... Any advice on how to fix this.I open up FNVEdit and none of my mods are changing the stealthboy actor effect he is using. I even tried changing his stealthboy effect to a different stealthboy effect but nothing changed.
Edit: It was a mod conflict. I am using TTW and the mod more perks was preventing this. I solved it by getting a perk (something shadows?) from more perks and everything is fine now.
Unfortunately there isn't any suitable way to bring Claptrap into FO4, it uses 64 bit Havok animation SDK which is out of reach to the modding community so basically the tools required don't exists for us (yet). Claptrap would also need a custom behaviour graph to work and they are nasty things to deal with.
Claptrap and other robots will be getting more work from me in the future as I intend to be modding FONV for a long time to come. But above all my full focus ATM is working on the coolest mod coming to NV. http://www.falloutthefrontier.com/features/gameplay/
