Awesome mod, love the little extra touches on both dogs too - but especially the emergency whiskey barrel... or rather, I guess it'd be a barrel of Scotch... Whiskey sounds like a name for a cat. My only wish for it is that Scotch were closer to somewhere you'd be earlier in the game... purely cus I haven't reached Jacobstown yet, and while that's the dog I want to run around with more (tho I am fond of Dobermans and this one in particular), I don't wanna rush to some location I otherwise wouldn't be just to pick up the dog.
Hey, actually - could someone just list Scotch's formID? Then I could just use the placeatme command. Would be well appreciated, thanks.
Also, I just got done saying this on the page for the NV Pitbull mod, which is equally classy (I love how many options for breeds there are at this point), but I wanted to put it here too: any chance of adding some kind of upgrade (or even just an alternate mesh) where the dogs have those pack harnesses on em that you see with like service dogs, for example? Seems super handy for the wastes, and in fact I have a different "dog mod" on called Four Legged Friends (also here on Nexus) which adds a few dogs with those pack bags on em. Whether that's a modders' resource or a vanilla item I don't know, I haven't seen any vanilla dogs with em but I also haven't finished the game yet (taking my sweet-ass time on my first playthrough, like these games do best... I don't think I ever actually finished the main quest in Morrowind...) But my point in saying that is that, if they are custom meshes, there's someone who could possibly save you time if you didn't feel like reinventing the wheel to make your own (or just wanted a point of reference). I think a humane carry bonus would also be in order in that case.
I'll also say what I said to that other modder I mentioned, the New Vegas Pitbull "breeder," which is: any chance of seeing my faithful old tri-color Basset Hound in the game? Or if that's not a suitably wastelandish breed (not that I really think Corgis in goggles and nekerchiefs are either, but you got those on Nexus too), maybe a Bloodhound? Complete with robust baying sound effects? They'd make great additions to NCR camps.
Anyway, compliments on the fantastic work you've done as it stands already! Love this mod. So glad I'm not just limited to a port of Dogmeat. Hey, he's nice and all, but it's all about options (which is why I even downloaded the silly little Corgi).
Hey, thanks for all the feedback! Glad you're enjoying the mod.
Scotch's FormID should be xx000ADF, where 'xx' is the mod's place in your load order.
As for the requests - I'm not planning on adding more breeds to the game right now. Don't have as much modding time as I did when I started the project, and I still have three other dogs that I need to finish and add before I even think of more breeds. I will say, two of the other dogs that haven't been added do have larger packs like you mentioned, but I can't say when/if they'll be added because I just don't have the time or motivation at the moment.
would it be possible to reskin the Bernard to an English mastiff? any of the 3 main colors of them (brindle/fawn/apricot) i have wanted one for years now for fnv and for skyrim but not one to be found anywhere that i can find at least, just a suggestion. to make a boys dream come true haha
