This mod would be great if under the McM it just had a keybind. It gets in the way of quick looting while stealth really bad. Other than that this would be on my main list 100% of the time.
Works like a charm. One gets a 3rd option if they have either the Cannibal or Tribal Wisdom Perks. If a player has both of these perks it will still only be 3 options since the perks handle different types of dead flesh. Images uploaded to show this for your approval. Thank you.
This mod has been a boon for dealing with dead bodies that have glitched out to the point where normal console commands cannot remove them.
If this mod were to be updated, my suggestion is to have an alternative way to trigger the pop-up for deletion besides sneaking. Whenever I just wanted to loot bodies while sneaking, the pop-up simply became intrusive. My workaround was to change the player's conditional function when interacting with a dead body. Instead of checking if the player is sneaking, you can check if a certain key of your choice is being held. That way, the option would only pop up if your loot key and your secondary key are pressed simultaneously.
this is terrific!! I had this problem where no matter what vanilla or modded, Joe Cobb & his powder ganger buddies corpses never left the cell, it won't disappearing from my game even at late which is ridiculous because it hog my memory, glad I found out this mod, some dead bodies will disappear but this Joe Cobb never will.
I'm using yours now, it's better. You don't really need to credit me, from the sounds of it you and Fallout2AM completely rewrote it. It's really just inspired by mine then my work. As for that issue mine had, I had an idea, but no time to try it. Instead of disabling the body, you'd teleport it to an unused cell. Or just for giggles somewhere you could visit later to marvel in the glory of your horribleness.
But still the whole concept is still yours and you should be credited accordingly. Without your original mod this one wouldn't exist. And I have to give Fallout2M all of the credit for this rewrite. I just supplied the ideas, she did the rest...
1. Does it work on piles of ash and goo from energy weapons? What about the semi-disintegrated bodies of http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37245/ ? 2. Suggestion: for the sake of immersion and balance, allow time (say, one hour) to pass to represent dragging off and burying the remains in a shallow unmarked grave nearby. 3. Suggestion: reward +1 karma for each such "laying to rest" of a humanoid, like http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37935/.
No it doesn't work on ash or goo piles.... Not sure why you would need to remove those since they are not really in the way like a normal body. You can still search them ok. Guess if they were on top of one another then it might be an issue to maybe loot the ones being blocked but I don't remember really seeing that happening myself. And as far as semi-disintegrated bodies I really have no idea. I don't use that mod...
The 2 and 3 suggestions are pretty good ones but seeing as mentioned already that the mod as it is has an issue that would be very difficult to fix I would have to say that making additional changes like you suggested would probably not be worth the time and effort it would take. Again this is just pretty much a simple mod that was made only for convenience.
