What it does:
This mod increases the speed and adjusts the gravity of launched missiles and grenades to more closely match that of their real-life counterparts. The missile launcher missile does not have a real-life counterpart so its velocity is based on the RPG-7. Missile gravity is at a half-point that simulates the aerodynamics fairly well enough for the often short ranges fired across in Fallout: New Vegas. The 25mm and 40mm grenades have had their gravity decreased to a coefficient of 1.0 (actual in-game gravity for most objects, as they are less aerodynamic than missiles) and their speed increased to near real-world values. This provides a flatter and more realistic trajectory that makes the grenades a lot funner to shoot, especially the grenade machine gun.

When it comes to the Red Glare, there isn't really anything that resembles such a weapon in real-life. Because of this I decided to make the speed the average of the RPG-7 and the Red Glare missile's vanilla speed. I also set its gravity coefficient low due to its energy-like appearance.

Affected Projectiles:
Missiles (All Variants, including High Velocity, chaos ensues)
40mm Grenades (All Variants)
25mm Grenades (All Variants)
Red Glare Missiles (All Variants)
Securitron Missiles
Securitron Grenades

Why?:
The main reason for the existence of this mod was my personal annoyance with having to fire a grenade launcher like a mortar into the air to get it to travel more than 50 feet. I also remembered my dislike of the portrayal of missiles and rockets in many different games and movies. Missiles are often shown as lazily drifting towards their target, completely unaffected by gravity as if they were traveling through a vacuum. In reality, rockets and missiles are high speed objects. An RPG-7 for example can reach 295m/s. Because of the faster projectile speed the gravity only becomes noticeable at longer ranges.

A secondary reason is that I find "realism" mods aren't very fair when it comes to actual realism. They seem more like "how impossibly difficult can I make this game" mods. They want to provide as much punishment as possible that a realistic environment would without giving you any of the benefits of a realistic environment.

Compatibility:
I've used a range of mods over the years and haven't found any incompatibilities yet, sans EVE. An EVE-compatible version is also available.

Compatible with TTW 3.3

USE EITHER THE REGULAR VERSION OR THE EVE VERSION, NOT BOTH!

Installation:
Used your preferred mod manager or extract the compatible .esp file into your FNV Data folder.
Load it after other mods except merged/bashed patches. It's a good idea to verify compatibility using FNVEdit.

Other Related Mods:
More Realistic Aiming - Mod with full MCM support that adds trembling to your aiming based on several factors including your SPECIAL stats, your carried weight, and your health status.

Strength Dependent Throwing Range - Throwing speed and range scale with strength. If you have PN Rebalance installed, this effect is already included.
