UPDATE: Fixed the missing mesh, forgot to include it with the ESP, but you may have to move the mesh manually to get the mod to work. If you have found a fix, please share it here in the comments so I can correct the mod.
The installation is simple, download manually and open game folder and drag/drop the mesh folder into the mesh folders, and the .esp into the data folder then enable the mod on your nexus mod manager. You need to download it both manually and via the Nexus mod manager to get it to work.
However the mod has only one glaring problem, its a two handed weapon for a one handed sword. The two handed animation fix is simple and ill try and fix it myself or set up some lore-friendly and non-immersion breaking mods like this one.
The sword itself is pretty cool, has a great setup and feel to it. I'll try and make it one handed and get a few craftable versions set up if I can through the geck.
Because the author doesn't know how to articulate how to install this mod, it goes like this:
Data\meshes\WasterSwordMesh
with the nif file in WasterSwordMesh.
Here are my two cents about the weapon: It's too short to be a 2-handed weapon, and the character holds the handle and the blade at the same time like an idiot. Not worth the effort. Looks nice though. If it was a one-handed weapon, it would be worth the effort of figuring out how this works.
Hi I'm new to using mods. I downloaded the mod and put the Waster's Longsword folder in the Meshes Folder of Fallout New Vegas. I cut and paste the esp file into the Data Folder. I also tried putting just the WasterSwordMesh Folder into the Meshes Folder but neither one of those things worked. I just get the red diamond. I've also tried putting the nif file straight into the 2HandMelee folder. Was there only supposed to be one nif file and one esp file or did I install it wrong? Also, I apologize if any of that sounded stupid. Like I said before, I'm new.
I"m having the same problem this guy is. I've put every combination of the folder and just the .nif file in both the data-mesh folder and the standard mesh folder. So if you'd be so kind, can you go through the installation process step by step?
Looks like its just the mower blade and combat knife textures, the mower blade uses the shiskebab texture, so just swap the texture from shiskebab texture to 1stPersonShiskebab, do the same with the combat knife. (1stPersonCombatKnife) That right there will increase the resolution of the weapon. If you want to take it a step further open it up in gimp and apply some filters and raise the resolution. Or leave it at the vanilla texture paths for 1st person, and any texture pack they have replacing it will be used.

Meshes -> weapons
and the ESP should be in the data folder, as with all other ESPs.
