No idea why the "skip" option doesn't let me actually play the game, it places me next to Doc Mitchell's couch and nothing happens. Not sure what could be conflicting, either.
So... in what way does it shorten it? By 'Skip' I assume you mean let you choose your face, traits, tags and special, then put you outside his house with the stuff he gives you, then marking the quest as complete or something, right?
Correct. The short version is you do the char.-gen. wake up, the docs says some lines, gets you up from bed, and takes you directly to the exit to give you your stuff and say goodbye.
I like how you made it a choice and not just a mod that makes a permanent change, nice touch. Some mods will change in a way that you have to uninstall the mod if you decide you want to go back to vanilla.
