As a challenge I added a lot of upgradability to this for anyone experienced in interiors (I hate cluttering and I suck at navmeshing ) so as long as propper credit is given feel free to modify the crap outta my esp or textures and re distribute (though if modifying my texture replacer make sure to credit the rusty Winnebago mod) Challenge begin!!!
For some reason it says that the winnebago is unregistered and i cant drive it any ideas on how to fix this? i have NVSE i have XRE installed with no issues
I keep getting the "Enable and Quit" message for XRE Physics, but even updating the file manually as it says doesn't solve it. Other XRE cars work fine, not sure why the Winnebago doesn't.
The idea of this mod is amazing but after some testing and trying it out i've run into problems, Main one being the camera placement which is just zoomed right into the center of the Winnebago, Camera keys are not responsive other than the delete key in numpad section which allows you only to see backwards.
Upon trying this mod I
flew 100ft in the air with the winnebago Drove 20 feet before smacking into rocks Spawned the portable camp Winnebago and couldn't find it till i looked in the air noticing it spawned 10 feet in the air Drove along the road and noticed it was like a Canadian ice rink Ran over old ladies dogs Ran too the scrapyard three times because I died twice by crabs. Spammed and tryed remaping controls for 10 minutes while listening to a never ending engine Took 2 Advil and exited the game.
Solution for people with a big red exclamation mark in the scrap yard where the Winnebago should be. Step 1: You need the meshes and textures from the original mod. If you didn't install that, do it now. Step 2: The meshes and textures from the original mod are contained within a BSA. BSA's don't load without the requiring mod's esp being activated (i.e. the esp from the original winnebago mod)
For that you have two options: a) Activate the esp from the original mod. Problem solved. However, New Vegas has a plugin limit of 140, and if you are like me you're probably looking to minimize the number of activated plugins, especially ones for mods you aren't actually using. This brings us to my favorite of the two options, b) Using FOMM (or some other tool if others exist) go into the tools menu, go to the BSA Browser, find the bsa for the original mod (DMWinnebago.bsa or something like that) and extract it into your New Vegas Data folder (you may need to run FOMM as an administrator to do this)
If you extract the bsa, then you won't need to activate the original mod's esp. This does not fix the missing mesh for the barber mirror inside the Winnebago, so you will still need to install at least the meshes and textures from Mattell's Rambler mod for that.
Thanks for the help and info, haven't touched on this mod in a while and don't think anyone has pointed out the missing beds before, the missing meshes and textures is an easy repack and repost. I'll look into it when I get a chance. also thanks for the tip on unpacking the bsa, never knew that was the problem lol
Thanks men. I really wanted to play with this mod but i had the exclamation point where the rv was supposed to be . It turned out like you said, i didn't install the original mod. Thanks again.
I'm sorry but while I've had others experience this problem I don't quite know what the cause is other than the drivable version popping into the world, but I have no idea why. Make sure you're not running too many mods and especially check anything that changes the scrapyard...
This mod hasn't been updated for nearly 4 years, so this is probably a shot in the dark, but I was hoping someone could help me with a bug. I managed to purchase the Winnebago, and I am able to drive the Winnebago, however whenever I try to enter the Winnebago after using the "camp" item, the game crashes to the desktop during the loading screen. I've even tried editing the interior to remove the items with missing meshes, but no matter what I do it still crashes upon entry. Again, no one will probably see this, much less know how to help, but I'm desperate at the moment lol.
*Edit(in case anyone cares): Starting a new game seemed to have fixed this problem for me.
After purchasing the key and trying to drive the RV it says that it is not registered. What does this mean? I've looked everywhere and can't find a solution
"this car has not yet been processed or, more likely, was rejected by the Xre CARS! Registry." -It says something like that
