Description:

For those of you who may not remember, Barton Thorn is the strapping young lad just outside of Goodsprings who gets you to clear out some geckos for him. However, after doing this, he comes back and is forced into combat with the player over this small matter. Oh, the injustice! Being one of the first “quests” the Courier comes across, it makes the courier think the wasteland is a treacherous, inhospitable place, entirely devoid of goodness. This “dog eat dog” or “do a favor for someone then die” mentality of the wasteland causes the Courier to have gross negligence for human life, experience PTSD, and, in more than one case, has caused Couriers to sexually abuse Ed-E. I know, it’s awful. We have to ask ourselves, “How can we ever stop these terrible things from happening?” We cut the head off the snake. We remove the first in this domino effect of injustices. We #SaveBartonThorn. This mod adds the option to spare this man’s life, and, in turn, spare your own.
