I know its 10 years later...but would it be possible to update the mesh for the first person model as it can have some clipping issues with the camera, it appears that bethesda added a neck for some strange reason which is what causes the clipping. I tried to fix it myself but i couldn't even figure out how to get blender to run properly with my smooth brain. Its an easy fix if you know what you are doing.
Anyway to port this over to Fallout 3? There used to be a mod for it like that but it got deleted for some reason. Would be cool to see this mod in Fallout 3 again
For anyone interested in using this mod in the future, let me type clear instructions so that you won't be confused.
1.) Install Fallout Mod Manager, EVEN if you use another Mod Manager (e.g Vortex, MO2...) 2.) Make sure you have Fallout 3 GOTY installed along with FNV 3.) Set up FOMM to run FNV. The only thing you installed this for was to open BSA files. 4.) With FOMM's BSA Browser (Tools -> BSA Browser) navigate to your Fallout 3 Data folder. 5.) Find Anchorage.bsa and open with FOMM BSA Browser 6.) Extract the files the mod author wants you to extract EXACTLY as they appear in the description (DO NOT edit them, unless the .nif files appear differently than how they appear on the description page of this mod). I just extracted mine to a new folder I named anchorage. 7.) Navigate to your FNV Data folder. There, find your meshes folder. 8.) Now, find the "dlcanch" folder. It's NOT under the armor folder, it is standalone in your mesh folder, because the Chinese stealth armor from FO3 is already in the game by default, and uses this folder for it's meshes. 9.) Open the armor folder here, and make the new folder "snowcombatarmor." Open that folder, and make the two new folders, m and f. 10.) Now, simply drag and drop each .nif file into its respective m and f folder, as it would appear on the mod description page.
And that should be it, as long as you've installed the mod through your preferred mod manager, you should be good to go.
I believe that's because the mod installs 2 ESM files, one of which is exclusively for Project Nevada users. Should say something like, "sleevedcombatarmor_ PN" in your mod manager. I use Vortex, so I just click that option off and it works fine for me.
Alright, one one final (hopefully) thing. It's a minor issue and idk if the author is even paying attention to this anymore, but it's worth a shot. I found the Reilly's Ranger version and the armor itself works perfectly, only problem is that the textures for both the regular and masked helmets are all messed up. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, is there a way to fix that?
EDIT: I'll provide some screenshots to show you what I'm talking about, a warning though, it kinda spoils where you can fine the Ranger Combat Armor: https://files.catbox.moe/q69q9w.jpg https://files.catbox.moe/29aup8.jpg https://files.catbox.moe/enau8y.jpg
Has anyone managed to find a fix? I did everything followed all the steps in the description and it still isn't working. This mod is cool and I'd love to get it, but it won't work when you follow all the steps, and the author hasn't responded in years.
