    This mod is now deprecated, please go here instead http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62552/?

    I have restored the deprecated version for those who insist on using it.

    This file is unsupported.

    Q) Will you make a version for Non-Steam versions of New Vegas?

    A) No, and QUIT ASKING. I don't support pirates! If you can afford to buy a computer powerful enough to play New Vegas, you can afford to BUY THE GAME on Steam for under $20. ANY AND ALL POSTS ABOUT THIS WILL BE REPORTED TO THE STAFF. If you don't like it UNINSTALL/UNENDORSE.

    Here's an album on imgur containing EVERY RETAIL RELEASE'S back cover for you to see where it's plainly marked in a red box that steam is required for activation.

    Have a day.

    Q) How do I use this with ENB?

    A) Use one of the many incorrect ways of doing so from reddit, steam or other random websites but for the love of everything don't read the mod description or readme.

    Additional things you can do to help with "out of memory" errors.

    Please use NVSE and enable Initial Heap Replacement, there is instructions on how to do so at the end of this post.

    Please use NVAC.

    Please use NVSR. Do NOT use the heap replacement in NVSR, it is unstable. Disable the "HookLightCriticalSections" setting or you will experience bad stuttering.

    There are additional steps you can take,

    open both of your .ini files, FALLOUT.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini

    In each one search for and change

    bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=0 to bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1
    bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=0 to bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=1

    To enable initial heap replacement in NVSE

    Navigate to the Data\NVSE folder in your Fallout New Vegas root folder (Where the game is installed)

    Open nvse_config.ini in notepad. If the file does not exist, create it.

    Copy/paste the following 3 lines into it.

    [Memory]
    DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=384
    scrapHeapSizeMB=128

    Save it (as all file types).

    Welp, this isn't a "mod" worth getting. The "mod" is the most obvious harmful executable/virus i've ever seen. I even specifically downloaded it and tried executing it to see how quickly it gets detected. Luckily, my anti-virus is smart enough that this *thing* isn't allowed, so it can NOT harm my pc.

    To anybody possibly thinking of getting this "mod", please do NOT do it. I thank you for coming in the comment-section to read first. You might've just saved your computer from a neverending nightmare. Mine didn't go that far. THANK YOU modern anti-virus.

      It's not a virus, and it's also extremely outdated and 4GB Patcher replaced it many years ago.

      You haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about, and being an alarmist based on something that you haven't any idea about.

      The source code is right there for you to download, and it's been cleared by microsoft and most other AV vendors many many years ago.

      Congratulations on not knowing what your paranoia software even does.

    Hi, I've been playing Fallout New Vegas for about a month now, and so far, it's mostly been crash free, it would crash occasionally, but not frequent enough to frustrate me. I've played about 110 hours, and when I started a new save file because I felt like doing a melee character, I suddenly start getting very frequent crashes, I crashed 6 times in the span of a single hour, so I start to look for stuff, I get the stutter reducer and your 4gb patch, but it still crashes a lot (not as frequently, though), it may just be my pc, which isn't very up to date, but it ran it just fine a couple weeks ago. I was wondering if you could possibly recommend any mods to help with the crashes? I would be most grateful :).

      Maybe is this mod that is deprecated and not supported anymore.
      Please install this version instead

      Maybe you need to re-install all of your mods again, but it will has less crashes?.

    You should put it in all caps in the title that it's deprecated, it caused me a "modding noob" a lot off nerves as it didn't work properly

      Do you not like the "new" patched version that works with GOG? It's got electrolytes. The thing what chicken and ducks crave.

    I'm kind of curious why you chose to keep this file up despite there being a newer patch.

    Hello everyone!

    I have ultrawide monitor 21:9 2560x1080.
    How can i run the game through fnv4gb.exe with interested me resolution 1280x1024?

    Every time the game runs with native monitor-resolution 2560x1080 through fnv4gb.exe.

    1) No-steam/RU/Windows 7 (64bit).
    Fallout New Vegas 1.4.0.525 + A Soul of Fallen Worlds  (Fallout 3 + Fallout New Vegas + all DLC).

    2) fnv4gb.exe - 1.5.0.8
     image.png.3f89a9d5291f9c8a28cd97a4cca140

    3) All three files of the game Fallout_default.ini, Fallout.ini, FalloutPrefs.ini contain these lines:
    iSize W=1280
    iSize H=1024

    ..but it does not help..

    Can anybody help me with this problem?

      If you use the newer patcher as suggested you can just open it from steam.
