there's only 20 added songs but wouldn't the combines galaxy and diamond city radio track lists have way more than that? even if you don't count overlapping tracks?
Hey, I was really excited to play this mod, but all of the GNR songs that play are really bad quality, Is this just my game or is anyone else getting this as well ?
For anyone finding this now, go into the directory sound/songs/radio/licensed and remove all of the songs that have "mono" in the name. These are the downgraded versions of the songs which I believe would have been played on in game radios rather than the quality that comes through the pipboy. There should only be about 20 songs after you remove the monos.
Galaxy News Radio Songs from fallout 3 ( i had to do a internet search for it). unfortunately nofsdad cannot comprehend that almost NO ONE will know what the f_ck gnr means.
when do the GNR songs start cycling in? i've been playing with it for a while. unistalled, reinstalled the mod. nothing new. i've checked and the files are there in the game data. could the files have been misdirected?
Since the .esp lies together with a data-folder, it's not impossible that they are "missdirected", or that it's the cause of issues people seem to have... For 2 installs I copied the .esp to the data-folder where it should be, opened the Data-folder in the archive and copy sounds where it's supposed to be... Perhaps one should follow the layout of the archive and copy the data-folder *in to* the installed data-folder? Why set up an archive in such an odd way, and why not include a read-me after seeing ppl's problems?
Voyager23 is correct the folder structure is incorrect and there are also a bunch of files the mod doesn't use. When I opened the folder I was surprised to see every song 3 times in different formats, So I opened the esp in FNVEdit and found it only sees the Mono MP3 files. So I deleted the other 2 types and installed it with only the Mono MP3s and it's working fine but considering that it's not packed correctly and the author apparently left in all their experimental files I'm not sure I feel safe using it because I don't know enough about FNVEditing to fix the esp.
Perfect, exactly what I wanted, the songs from fallout 3 in a simple way.
The other related mods not only require a Fallout 3 installation but also just create a GNR clone with announcer voice that breaks immersion because it doesn't belong in New Vegas. It will also break Radio New Vegas after a while for some reason.
This one not only lets you listen to what Radio New Vegas has to offer so you don't miss out on it, but also expands it with all the GNR songs!
I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a simple and perfect way to get the great GNR soundtrack on Fallout New Vegas!
2. Open the 'Radio New Vegas Enhanced-(version number).zip' archive, then open the enclosed 'Radio New Vegas Enhanced' folder inside.
3. Move the RNVExpanded.esp into the 'Data' folder which already includes the 'Sound' folder.
4. Close the archive.
5. In Mod Organiser use the 'Install a new mod from an archive' option (top left disc icon) . Navigate to the altered 'Radio New Vegas Enhanced' archive' and install as normal (need to select Data folder as directory)
Once this one change is made in the archive, it installed and worked fine.
Technically you can also just change the fileorder while importing the archive into MO. Just hit the Manual button. Also, if you installed it incorrectly, you can re-arange the fileorder by doubleclicking the mod in the main mod-tab (or right-click -> Information) and going to the filetree-tab. Since MO automaticly puts things in the data-folder, you just need to push the Sound folder and the .esp into the root-folder of the mod and everything should be fine.
Does this add Three Dogs' radio announcements and reflections on your characters karma level? Or is this just purely music. Also, anyone have issues installing this with FOMM? I'm wondering if that's the best way to install it since from reading posts it seems some people may have had issues installing it with NMM.
First time I heard that in FO3 I was hacking up some fire ant's with a combat knife, at the time I thought the game was playing it because of that, good times.
Those having install problems put the esp file in /data
then go into the folder /data in the archive and move /sound to your /data folder along with the esp.
if you just copy as is you end up with /data/data/sound it should be /data/sound in your FNV folder.

you can only hear jingle jangle and johnny guitar so many times before you run head long naked and unarmed into the warm embrace of a deathclaw.
