In response to what seems to be a very popular request (I've been busy; sorry) I have increased the maximum values of the MCM sliders. Time-based purging can now be delayed for up to ten minutes, while the menu purge can be delayed for 50 menus. It seems to me that extending the slider maximums beyond these values is just silly - but what do I know, really? Let me know if it's enough.
hi one question how do i find the plug in mananger? because when i extract it nothing comes up on my screen where you must choose one of the 4 options 1 yes,yes to all you know.
Just a heads up for anyone else coming across this mod - no hate or anything on ZanGS or anyone else who worked on this mod, but this really shouldn't be used.
Instead, modify or add the following to Fallout.ini, FalloutPrefs.ini and Fallout_default.ini: bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1 bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=1 some stupid bug is reformatting the second command: b Selective Purge Unused On Fast Travel=1 remove all the spaces.
I know this is a bit old but where do I add the second command if it's not present? Can it just go anywhere on the ini? Also is the second command correct? Or is it supposed to be =1
I just installed this, and left out MCM because additional in game menu configuration's frazzle me and confuse me, I used the skyrim version of MCM and hatted it, plus MCM only had a fomod install and I use Fallout Mod Manager - FOMM - Fork and LOOT to sort my mods and unpack BSA files!..
I installed MCM and removed MTUI and get over-lapping texts in game, took a in game screen shot

Sorry I'm a month late. Looks like you need Darnified UI. Gopher has a very thorough video showing what it does, (changes font size mainly), where to download it, (Bethsoft), and how to install it. It's an old video, but it's still very relevant.

no, and if you are you shouldn't. there are better ways of increasing game stability and even the ini edits i mentioned in my other comment here have been superseded or are already included by default with a fresh copy of ttw 3.3.
I see a lot of talk about this "breaking" the game, or other mods... but this has been the only consistent crash fix I've found. I've tried ini edits, other anti-crash mods, even Viva New Vegas. Only this allowed me to go an entire playthrough with no crashes. Occasionally it will lag, especially after entering a new zone, just wait a couple seconds and you're good to go.
Used alongside New Vegas Anti Crash NVAC, this is the best fix for long plays without crashing after an hour or so... Windows 10, highest spec RAM/Graphics etc & since re-adding New Vegas via Steam for the full Ultimate Edition, the game's run perfectly. Just added both to Vortex with pre-requested add ons needed & no crashes after finishing the tutorial missions at Good Springs (NVAC & Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP together didn't stop crashing issues).
A hell of a lot easier than some of the other recommended fixes out there that require you to tinker with the game's set up, which if you're like me & have no idea WTF you're doing, is just an impractical solution. Endorsed etc.
Just hoping this holds out for The Lonesome Road & has fixed the endless crashing spots there, seeing as the mod that did fix that is now hidden or deleted from NEXUS.

It's like people knowing you're rich - you can't win.
Edit: So this mod does nothing to fix CTD, however, it does reduce it by somewhat a tiny %.
