    This is still the only really great sound replacer for the chainsaw. I actually made some of my own sound from a Kane Hodder replica saw, but I lost those files.

    The only reason i never used the chainsaw is because it sounded wimpy and very unrealistic. The beefy version of your mod gives it the perfect kick and now feels like a badass weapon. Thanks much

    i cannot speak for others, personally however i like what i've seen of this mod so far and i feel it adds quite abit more when i have to f*#@ my enemies UP in melee (and honestly, no melee weapon will EVER be as manly as a chainsaw with the possible exception of a chainsword)

    that said i do have a question.

    i downloaded your mod and it specified there are two different versions of this mod you can install, the regular sound and the beefy sound, it does not say anywhere in the description or the file downloads section what the difference is, i tried to play the sound in VLC media player to see if i could hear for myself but i could not find a difference at all, so what is different about these two sets of files?

      Thanks, you can see/hear the difference in the video on this page, beefy just sounds more buff and deep, regular is more clean, if you know what i mean.

      There is definitely a difference between the normal and "beefy" version. The beefy one sounds like it has more power put into the attack, with the bass of the sound turned up a bit.

      I love it!

    @temsol

    Can you describe to me what you did to install?

    If your using NMM it should work fine, i just checked again.

    Otherwise its the same old, esp file in data folder and the path for the sound files needs to look like this \Data\Sound\fx\wpn\MNTLwpnsounds\chainsaw

    hope this helps.

    "Does this effect the GRA chainsaw? I'd guess it would but I'm not sure. Might be worth putting that in the description "

    It does work with GRA too and thank you, its been added
