- Update: 25/06/14 -

Having finally got New Vegas back into a reasonably working and updated state I'm back to playing this game, and I really want to get this mod into a version 2 state.

The plan:

1. Finish and release the desert camo option.

2. Remove the stupid chest plates from Lightning and Thunder.

3. Find some more immersive way to add faction variants.

4. Create optional dirty textures.

5. Re-work the crafting setup, primarily to make it easier.

-----------

If downloading with Nexus Mod Manager, the default esp is the Project Nevada requiring version. The optional esp that doesn't require Project Nevada is in a marked folder, you'll need to replace the esp manually after install.

Note: The main menu not appearing and visor & vision modes not functioning for the Project Nevada version should be fixed in version 1.2.

Let me know if there are anymore issues.

Please remember to endorse if you like my work, and post pictures. Also be sure to take a look at my other files for NV, FO3 and Skyrim.

Version: v1.2

This is an armour pack I have been working on for a very very very long time. It actually isn't very lore friendly because it is really a blend of my own IP and the Falloutverse, keeping more loyal to my IP rather than Fallout lore.

Anyways what is Hostile Environment Armour, it is an proto-power armour developed for extremely dangerous environments, like for example nuclear battlefields, cramped tunnels, alien worlds or the vacuum of space. The series that I am releasing is actually the Mark 2 family, with the MkII Invader armour (which is the mass production model), the MkIIa Thunder Armour (a heavy armour prototype with much more servo power to move its bulk), and the MkIIb Lightning Armour (another prototype fitted with experimental electronics and energy weapon resistant shielding). None of them are classed as power armour so you don't need to have the Power Armour training perk. A generic one of each can be obtained (see the "Obtaining the armours" section), along with schematics to build more and faction variants.

Please note I will not give you console codes to cheat.

There is two options in the main download, one that requires Project Nevada and includes visor overlays and vision modes, and one that doesn't. The former is the way it is meant to be played in my opinion. If you don't know what Project Nevada is check out this video by Gopher:
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/news/article.php?id=897

A good number of talented folk helped along the way, including of particular note Weijensen who helped spice up the textures and a couple of mesh pieces, and gave me advice on what he thought of my ideas for this project. You can also blame him for making this project take so long (I only planned one armour in the beginning!).

Also of note are Delgerin (advice) and DVAted (pestering :-P ).

Anyways I hope you all enjoy my work, and please remember to endorse if you do. Also post lots of pictures!

= Obtaining the armours =
===========

One generic Invader, Thunder and Lightning armour along with schematics to build more and the faction variants (via any Work Bench) can be found in the Sealed Sewers: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sealed_sewers

Fast travel to Camp Mccaran, and head into the Central Sewers via the manhole behind you. Take two lefts in the sewers. On the second left you'll encounter Raiders, the door to the Sealed Sewers is through their hangout. If you don't have either of the keys mentioned in the wikia page above you will need to find them to open the door.
Once you open the door beware the Feral Ghouls (bring a stealth boy if you are low level). The armours and schematics are through the metal door that is at the back of the room with the Ghouls.

Scrap Metal, Scrap Electronics, Conductors, Sensor Modules and Fission Batteries are needed to craft more. There is enough of the first four ingredients to build two sets of Invader armour, or one of the other two, with parts to spare towards your next build. Do note you will need a fair amount of each ingredient to build these armours.
