I thought Orange was used so that the inmates can be easily identified and differentiated, and spotted from large distances if they escape. anyway, the texture could use more work, so don't give up on trying harder next time
In all honesty blue is the most common color choice used for prisons. You are thinking of jails. In most JAILS you are given an orange jumpsuit to wear, but in most prisons you are given different styles of blue clothing, in some cases you may even be given blue jeans. This is done because the average stay of an inmate in a prison is much longer than that of someone spending time in Jail. The bright orange coloration is meant to be loud and annoying to the eyes, it creates and uncomfortable feel after a certain period of time that prison psychologists hoped would provide a lingering feel that would keep inmates from a repeated offense. In prison you are given a softer more "common" blue as to make you feel more comfortable and less hostile during your stay. It is also supposed to be relaxing on the eyes and provide a peaceful sensation.
In addition I agree with the above comment, these suits are in desperate need of more texture. They do look a bit too cartoonish and very out of place.
Decent retex. I was using an orange-jumpsuit mod for a while, but then I decided to try to keep with lore, at least clothing-wise. Otherwise, I'll be disappointed when the next game comes out and the Legion is wearing sports gear again, NCR is back to pre-war gear again, etc.
I think this would look a lot better if the outfits were more detailed. They look almost cartoon-y. But, hey, it's still better than anything I could do.
