I also suddenly seem to be having a texture problem when the rifle is modded. It seemed to work fine yesterday right after I modded it and then today I'm get the funky texture all over the gun when I add the scope, but its fine when I take it off. The only thing that I changed between playing yesterday and today was installing The Weapon Mod Menu and your new big weapon pack, I've tried some of the fixes you mentioned below but still having the same problem.
On a side note, absolutely love your weapons and textures though, they truly are amazing!
But unfortunately I can't use it since the texture resets to default when holstered with Armed to the Teeth as well as when it's dropped on the ground or used by other NPCs. :(
I had the weird texture issue when applying the scope mod. I fixed it by getting MadCat's mesh fix Here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41945/? Just overwrite everything, also works with WMX. Hope this helps
