Heads up, new version is here. Mainly I ported the newer Skyrim meshes and textures, but I also added it to the relevant lists. So for example it actually knocks people down (more) with Super-slam. Also, IF you have sneak at least 50, you can presumably wrap it or something so it doesn't look suspicious, and sneak it into a casino.
You just knew I was going to come back to melee weapons eventually, eh? I guess I like swords too much for my own good :p
the swords dont show up on their location even though i put it in the right folders and activated it by data files . also i tried installing them via nmm but still nothing
Of course its a zweihänder. Can you imagine anyone using them onehanded? The second grip isn't necessarily a part of a twohanded sword, though many variations (but not all) feature them.
The Zweihänder is a specifically forged sword, it's not called the Zweihänder because it requires two hands. The Zweihänder is a human sized two-handed knight's sword, usually with two guards (second one is usually a blade catcher), an extended grip, of which the main guard is bent towards the blade.
Not all Two-handed swords are Zweihänders, but all Zweihänders are Two-handed swords.
I added this because I wanted a decent Melee weapon for my first Legion playthrough. I did not get a "decent" sword, I got a new best friend. I sold most of the stuff in the DLC to buy it early, thinking it wouldn't do all that much... but starting with 40 in Melee says otherwise. I have no need for any other weapon at this point. Thank you for making this, it is a thing of beauty.
Actually, heh, the blade is actually a little thicker than historical blades, mostly for lighting reasons. Really, these things were a couple of millimeters thin.
The handle, though is IMHO within historical limits. Judge for yourself: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/Zweihaender_im_historischen_Museum_Basel.JPG

And the second one is just plain called a Flamberge, also missing a second grip.

The zweihander is exellant, but could you please made a version of zweihander model without the breakages on the blade?
