This hideout is perfect for me. It's wide and bright, has great lighting, beautifully decorated and has all there should be. Most importantly, it really made me feel at home.
This is exactly what I needed. A player home where I don't have to walk for miles to get to everything.
I previously used the underground hideout and was impressed at first, but after a while it gets tedious and I was still lost in it for quite a while. I was then looking for an outside player home, where the map marker would bring me to it directly with everything I need, and I found the train car hideout. But the train car is just too tight, and I don't understand why the map marker doesn't bring you directly to the entrance. Also: the annoying geckos
This one is definitely the best I've seen so far. Thanks a lot!
Hey Dwight Darkmoon i was wondering if i could edit the mod to add a room with Mannequins and Display cases. And i could maybe add moving to for the house?
One of the few times I actually comment on a mod, but this one is worth it. I've been using this mod since v1.01, and its one of those "must have". For all the mods I have loaded and taken out when I grew tired of them, this is the only constant on my loadlist. Not too big, not too small. For me, its been perfect for beginning gameplay, the one time when both storage for gear and essentials are hard to come by. This also makes its location in Goodsprings perfect as well, and serves as a home base for my characters until they get to Novac. It doesn't stop there, either. I've got characters that are at end-game, at the last mission of the main quest and finished with all the dlc's, that are still using this space.
This all being said, I can only think of a few minor things I would like to see. First is an update to the scripting to cover the new food/aid/misc items the dlc's brought in (it only seems to cover things from Honest Hearts and back), and a way to split crafting items from reloading supplies. However, I've gone quite a long time without both, so its not like its a 'breaking' issue. Just something on a wish-list.
This is a great mod, my friend. Congratulations on a job well done, then and now!
It's almost perfect. I wish there was also another room, with one-way mirror, so you could see it from the bedroom. It would have some armor and weapon displays for my rare stuff collection But I guess it will stay in my dreams.
Still, this is the best shelter I've ever seen. Its placed close to everything, so I can quickly do all the stuff I need at it. Love it.
I doubt you will read this but while this is a very awesome mod, there are alot of texture problems with the various walls and the bed where stuff will go right through them as if they aren't there.
The hideout is a free one room luxurious bachelor pad. Located in Goodsprings, it comes with inventory sorter, complete Armory/Workshop, a player bed, <tuna>ble radio, vending machines and more. This is what you do when you are seriously bored :/
