HOW DO I START THIS MOD, like my freakin gosh, you'd think that would be the most important thing to add in the description is telling people how to even start your mod.....
You should get a quest when you first load into the game. But if not the lication is in the bottom right corner of your pipboy map just head south of cotten wood cove.
I uninstalled NV Bounties II and it appeared. So if you want to play this mod you cant have NVBII enabled. PS this mod sucks and is absolutely not worth it.
This mod definitely prevented me from being able to join the Follower's of the Apocalypse.
Now....that may not be a problem with the mod itself, so much as how I installed it or how it interacts with one of the dozens of other mods I have installed. I read through the full forum. Nobody else has had this problem before...so it probably isn't the problem with the mod itself unless other people experience this problem too.
I disabled every mod I have installed except this mod...and I couldn't join the Followers of the Apocalypse. Then I enabled every mod I have installed but disabled this one, and I could not join the Followers of the Apocalypse.
To join the Followers of the Apocalypse you have to complete a quest, be idolized, and, at least supposedly...sometimes...give Julie Farkas enough medicine (rad away/fixer/med X) that you take care of the Followers' needs for that stuff.
I have Valley of Giants version 1 installed, as well as the optional version 1.1. I'm using Fallout Mod Manager version 0.14.14.5. Unless I use the FOMM to deactivate the ValleyOf TheGiants.esm file...I can give Julie Farkas an unlimited amount of medicine and she never says that the Follower's need of that medicine has been met...so I'm never able to join.
This is freaky-deaky. I have no idea why this mod would interfere with the game in this way. Oh well. I know the problem now...so I can just spend 2 minutes deactivating the "ValleyOf TheGiants.esm," start the game, join the Followers, save the game, quit the game, then reactivate it. No biggie.
I have a major complaint about this mod: you need a full auto Fat Man or god mode one to even attempt this. Also, when going into the southern area, several quests failed for no reason. I don't know what caused it. Also, holy crap the lighting and texture bugs are out of control. It makes it impossible to play this. Can't say I recommend this in it's current state, maybe if certain things are fixed or changed, but not at all as is.
This mod is a joke. I tried it with my level 50 character and was still killed in one. Way too difficult and due to the lighting, (it was pitch black most of the time , at 11am) it made sneaking difficult. This quest, for me, was impossible to complete without god mode.
Would not recommend, the armour and gun are good, but not worth getting.
Hey guys if your have trouble get an army of followers with Light Machine Guns. You can find a super powerful weapon that the mod author put in the mod. Once you get the quest objective to go South or Southeast you'll find a lady that gets killed as you approach her. She has a Gauss rifle that does like 7000 DPS. Also I would recommend finishing the quests "Cry Me A River", "Nothing But A Hound Dog",and "High Times". For some reason the mod author set the lady as Julia Farkas or tied her on to the quest. One if not all of these quest will fail when the lady is killed. I would try and fix this but its an ESM and I can't edit ESM's. -Happy Hunting or being Hunted if your not prepared for the fight of your life Cheers -Ray
