If you are trying to Nevada Skies and this mod together then unfortunately this mod definitely will not work. From what I can make out it is because Nevada Skies has some kind of orange filter that somehow prevents this mod's effects for working, even though Nevada Skies does not actually directly alter or edit the same files as this mod, and there is not obvious way in which to disable that filter so that this mod can then work as intended. It's a real shame, because this mod makes finding the caps much easier in a very dark cell, and as darker nights and indoor cells are one of the features of Nevada Skies that makes this mod actually a really good idea to have enabled.

Actually, disregard that previous post about orange colour filtering. After experimenting with the Nevada Skies MCM settings I've found that the glowing effect (for the Star Caps mod and also for things like Nuka Cola Quantum, Quartz etc) does actually work with Nevada Skies, providing that the Nevada Skies colour intensity setting is set to 1, the red blue and green colours are at 255 each, and the colour saturation setting is also set to 1.

It conflicts with MGs clutter. No matter if I load before or after, I can't get it to work (everything on high, hdr is on). What to do?

I dont see how that's possible since MG's clutter does not mess with bottle caps. Further I use both without issue. Perhaps if you could give a description of what is happening and a picture if relevant. Some one here might be able to help.

Here it is mister : https://imgur.com/buaTkLA
      Conflicting file : textures/clutter/junk/ssbottle_n.dds
Loading column content : ???, after, before (suggested), never together with.

I tried both before (suggested) and after. But they don't glow :( There isn't any other mod that affects bottlecaps. I also don't have any ENB installed (or anything alike). But I have ILO and Clarity (I don't know if relevant).

edit : Oh something came to my mind. What if I copy this mod's glowing star dds and mesh (nif) file and paste it into MGs clutter? Would that work I wonder? I browsed and confirmed that MGs clutter really has the same file. Here it is : https://imgur.com/leGpilc

I doubt ILO is a factor but it might be worth a try to turn it off too. Its interesting that VORTEX says there is a conflict when there should be none. Since it works for me. However I install the vast majority of my MODs with FOMM. Something else you could try is this. Disable Clarity and Glowing star bottle caps. Go into your game Create a new save. Now fast travel somewhere. Create another new save and exit. Re-enable Glowing Bottle caps. Go back into your game to your last save. Find a Glowing Star bottle cap I believe there is a list of Locations on The Fallout Wikipedia. You might try dropping one out of your inventory on the ground inside a dark building although I'm not sure if they still glow after you pick them up.

P.S. Oh yeah Glowing star should come after MGs in your Load order. So do that first then try some of the other things

This is a little thing but I think its useful and valuable. Especially for those of us who want a little help with a quest but still want a challenging play-through without cheating. Probably should have been included with the game to start with. (Maybe have it attached to a second level of Fortune Finder?) There are no issues with this MOD either. Endorsed
