Ration will look like a simple lunchbox. FNVEdit => NcrRations.esp => Ingestible => change model to NVDLC04\Clutter\NVDLC04MRE.NIF and icon to NVDLC04\Interface\icons\NVDLC04items_MRE.dds. After that it will look like a dry ration from the Lonesome Road. P.s thanks for the mod btw :)
I know it's been a million years later, but I toned down the long duration bonuses on the item. It will now only buff your endurance up by 1 point for 8 hours. It also has a nicer world model instead of the old blueprint model that it had before. The value of the item has also been increased to make buying and trading hem more balanced.
I know this is kinda out of nowhere because this mod is so old. But I ate one of the rations and now the +6 endurance and +15 crit chance wont go away. This is kinda messing with the balance of my game.
I think this mod is pretty cool, in real life, a soldier deployed on a combat assignment is not going to just have their armor, a rifle, and 13 bullets. That is the ONLY thing I did not like about New Vegas, they will need things to survive if they get lost, captured, or wounded. This just makes the game much better. And I love the playing card included, it's like a prize out of a Cracker Jacks box! Small things make all the difference, keep making small, but helpful mods!
I've noticed that the recipe for the rations is listed as owned, so picking it up counts as stealing. I also find it odd that it uses a schematic appearance rather than a note appearance - wouldn't it make more sense to make it a non-owned note that the player can pick up without having to be sneaky about it?

Hmmm well I have got top to bottom and bottom to top in Camp McCarran to find the schematic, with no luck, went to all the logical places then search in other locations of a less logical nature.
I just can't find it, call me dumb ^^ so an some one send me a PM with the location so as not to ruin it for the other users?
I'll have to look into these issues. The status effects are meant to last 24 hours of in-game time, unless I made a mistake and they are lasting 24 hours of real, play time. The rations still aren't craftable after you pickup the schematic at Camp McCarran? As for the items not respawning on the vendor, that's likely an error on my part and easily fixed, I will check it out. Thanks for the report.
I must say that I love the idea, but I'm running into a rather large problems. First of all, the status effects given never end. Two, the recipe isn't popping up for me to make myself. Three, after getting the stock of the initial vendor, she never carried them again.
All are disappointing and essentially force me not to use it.
