the fix doesnt work with the glasses in this mod http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39493, it can be easily checked with the blur fx, using any vanilla glasses no blur using these glasses blur. even if you dont want to modify your mod for every glasses mod (dont know how many there are) can you tell me how to change it myself. i really like to use those glasses, i dont like to break my roleplay to gain legion rep to get the lucky glasses.
It looks like this mod doesn't work with the Lucky Shades. This should be fixable by adjusting the pyFourEyesFX and FourEyesPerceptionPenalty actor abilities to check for EnchClothLuckyShades as well as EnchFourEyesGlasses -- for the former you can apply Wearing Glasses if either are active or No Glasses if both are inactive; for the latter, have it apply the Perception penalty if both are inactive. (You may also want to change the Perception bonus the glasses give with the perk to +2, since it's at +3 natively.)
I used this fix and started with a Perception of four, then I picked the trait. After that I got a Perception implant and an Intense Training Perception, now my base perception is 5... I think this mod is bugged with Intense Training.
I like this mod. Is similar to real eye problem. I know I'm wearing glasses. But there is some problem with new mods like - Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision - http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38328 . The same is when you wear a power helmets. When you use FX version of mod you will have a bloor effect when you start wearing a power armours or new recon night visions google. My pint is. Could you make a new version of this mod witch will be more compatible with other eyes wearing mods and with power helmets. look at this Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision mod. This mode add new effects/scripts to existing helmets, without changing normal function of this helms. In my opinion power helmets and some new eye stuff like some thermal/night goggles should fix my eye problem. I'm not a scripter so I cant do that.
nuclearsean, I'm sorry but you're wrong. There is no balance to the bad if it was as you say. The whole point of perks, as one might guess from the word "Perk" being used as a descriptor, is you get something good along with the bad. ... ...anyway, I'm excited to try this mod out!
Except that is not the perk's description. It should be something like 'Your perception is permanently reduced by 1, but wearing glasses gives you +2' instead in that case.
I would be fine with that really, and I understand the logic behind it, but the description is misleading.
This isn't really a fix at all because the whole point of Four Eyes is that your vision is a disability/handicap which is why your Perception has a permanent -1 from what your choose for your SPECIAL and why it affects your perk requirements.
It wasn't broken, this is more of an adjustment and could be considered a cheat by some.
Sorry about those issues, I should've tested the mod more thoroughly. I've uploaded a new version which should hopefully work better. If the mod altered your perception to a wrong value, you can set it via the console with the 'player.setav perception X' command (where X is what your perception should be).
