How do install this mod manually? I think I did something wrong. The new colors work just fine, but the new banners do not. There are spaces for them, but the images simply appear as checkered purple/black squares with a text saying something along the lines of "missing" textures or something. Please help! :(
to manually install mods. 1.open up your game folder if youre using steam as i am you can get to it quickly by going to your library, click the little cog, go to manage and browse local files) 2. open up the modules folder 3. download the mod here by clicking manually download 4.unzip the file and just drag and drop it into your modules folder 5.start game and activate the mod 6.press play and be happy with cool banners
I had a play around installing the mod, now, I am no guru though I have been successful installing the mod via Vortex and as a mod download. I had issues and tissues for a manual instal that I ended up removing. Everything is working via the Vortex instal :) thanks :)
Times have maybe changed since the original posting of the mod.
Not sure if this mod is the cause but I have a case where mine and my clan members' armour color does not reflect that on my banner. My banner is gold on blue, but armour color is gold on red (the same as when I was a vassal of Vlandia). However, the shields are the same as the banner.
This mod has the potential to somewhat break your save. If you activate it for an existing campaign, then remove it after saving with it enabled, any save from there on out will permanently have all the modded colors as well as hundreds of empty sigil slots in the Banner Editor screen, and (I have no idea what I did to cause this) potentially cause the background color pallet and the switch option to vanish from the Banner Editor entirely.
I have no idea if any of this is reversible after saving with the mod active.
TL:DR Not safe to remove from an existing save. Version 1.1.6 stable branch.
Edit: So, being new to the game, I only just found out being a mercenary/vassal/kingdom hides the background options from the Banner Editor, which I had become a merc after adding the mod.
Also, the original colors and sigils are back to pre-modded after a night of sleep. I have no clue what I did or changed to fix it, as I had restarted the game dozens of times with/without the mod, deleted the mod from my modules, reinstalled the mod, tried creating a save with only default banner sigil/colors and removing the mod, tried different banner mods to try overwriting it, etc. and nothing worked when I was troubleshooting, but it works now.
Regardless, until I am confident in using this mod again, I think I'll just play around with this custom banner tool for Banner Paste for now. I hope it's a simple thing, as I really like this mod. I just worry about it breaking my 300+ day save. https://bannerlord.party/banner/

Thank you for doing what should have been on the mod description page.

Then gives ZERO instructions on just how to do that. Really?
