Just revisited an old save, and behold, the new shield is indeed available at a later stage quest, after levitating a little. :) Looks absolutely gorgeous! The armor value seems a little bit low maybe, but then again the shield is basically the same type with a repaint.

Btw., would you maybe (?) see yourself capable and willing to also add the Templar Belt and Templar Skirt (the clothing items), just for the fluff? They are not obtainable in a legion-friendly manner unfortunately.
Where can I get a Imperial Templar shield? I had to kill the templar on the ebonheart bridge to get one. Just replayed it again and still never got the red Templar shield. Only Jonus Maximus has one like Najarati said.
Could it be because I skipped some quests in the Ebonhard barracks? I did because my rank was sufficient to just go to the castle tower instead and continue.
I'm curious about this as well. I've reached Knight of the Imperial Dragon and still have not seen this shield aside from the one held by Jonus Maximus in Ebonheart.
This problem is you not looking and advancing through the imperial legion quest as I told you. Somewhere along the way you can get a legendary artefact cuirass. Just look for it there...
This can be fixed by using an image editor like Paint.NET to make the LegionShield_Ref.dds file completely black so it no longer shines. You can also shrink the image down to 4x4 pixels for further optimization.
This mod deserves a lot more attention. My character is a Knight in the Legion and I wasn't going to wear the Templar armor at all but NOW? He's working his way up the ranks to get that glorious shield. Endorsed, obviously.
Ah yes. I forgot that Province Cyrodiil includes the shield by Korana. Good sugestion. I don't like what they've done with the shield though. Compared with other Templar armor it's a bit overpowered. The stats in my addon are much more vanilla-friendly IMO.
Anyway, I'll add a TR_Data patch
EDIT: Uploaded version 1.1 with an optional .esp file. I specifically chose for the solution with esp file because the shield in Tamriel_Data is overpowered compared to the other templar armor + it was named "Templar Shield" whereas all the rest of the set are called "Imperial Templar ..."
