EDIT: I lied. The boosts are there! The only thing is that the "shield" graphic effect does not appear unless you drop and re-pick the coin. Sorry!
hey, I've been playing with this mod for a while already and I've found that at least for the minor coins of shield and telekinesis, you need to re-equip them on game load to take effect.
The other coins I've found works without issues (stats buffs and other spells like Night Eye or Feather). Not sure if this an intended effect or a bug.
Btw, thanks for this mod! It's really cool to found a little neat present often in the usually boring boxes!
I feel like you could have incorporated Old Man's Lucky Coin into this mod. A constant, albeit smaller, Fortify Luck effect. I always forget about all the greater powers I have and almost never use them, so it'd have been a good way to get something out of the divine encounter.
Hello and thank you for your exciting mod, I really enjoy finding these coins from time to time.
Is it compatible with Galsiah Character Development? I noticed sometimes when I get a coin, one of my attributes increases with a message from GCD.
Also, starting level ~12, I regularly find chests with 4 or 5 coins!! I play with OpenMW (master branch), with Expanded Vanilla mod list and a few other mods. I merged levelled lists with the delta plugin.
The way I set up my levelled lists, player level can only influence the quality of the coins (minor and major coins) but does not change the quantity. I am not using OpemMW and I'm not familiar with Expanded mod list so I cannot tell if there's some sort of conflict there.
GCD is pretty outdated, so I have not used it in years (Mule or CCCP are recommended). Some of the coins increase skills, therefore it is possible the GCD takes that as a "natural" level up and increases the attributes accordingly. The issue is not there with MULE and CCCP ;)
I checked my lists, I never add more than a coin anywhere. Did you get a stack of identical coins or different coins?
Same here. After some level (currently in 20-ish), I find way too much coins. At low levels it was fine, but now it's getting a bit crazy. Maybe it's something to do with gold quantity? So that if container has 1000 gold, each single coin has a chance to be a lucky one?
Upon testing this along with Wares I get the following warning/error pop up(this is copied right from the warnings.txt file):One of the files that "Lucky CoinsRAREST.ESP" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on.
Any idea as to how to fix this?
Edit: I do have Wares-base.esm, Wares Vardenfell.esp, wares-moar.esp >.> so dunno if one of those things caused it or if you had an unoffical patch which could have caused the mismatch in versions...(also I searched over 300+ crates, bags, sacks, shop inventories, npc inventories, chests big and small, and never found a single coin >.> is that normal or caused by the above issue? or maybe there was an issue with wares? sorry for the multiple questions)
Yes, clean your saved game with Wrye Mash and make sure your plugin headers are updated. You are getting this message because Lucky Coins remembers an older version of Wares-base.esm. The mod will still work as intented in this case but it is best practice to use Wrye Mash to update headers and saved games.
This might be useful https://danaeplays.thenet.sk/wrye-mash/
Not sure why i'd need to clean a new save file(never had to clean a save before tbh) but okay I'll see about doing that. Also thanks for the other reply on Wares >.>; Also as a side note maybe include that Wyre Mash maybe required to fix any issues. I've never needed to use any thing like it or cleaning back when I used hundreds of mods during my playthroughs before 2010(not saying I have an issue doing it, more that I've never done it before so it'll be a learning experience for me), anyways giving it a go to see what can be done.
Edit: okay so I used Wyre Mash, all of Wares, lucky coins and some optional files for Wares were redish pink, clicked the bottom left corner on each and hit yes on the pop up, now everything is green...went into the save tab, my autosave and main save have a color not listed in your guide. It's like a pinkish color, when I click on them the stuff in the lower left all have a light blue color. I'd show an image but I have no idea how to add images from my pc into my posts ^^; if you have any ideas for the colors of the save files let me know as I'm curious >.>; (and do note as about this is the first time I've ever used Wyre Mash ^^; )
Not saving saved games means a bunch of warnings when you load your game after altering the modlist. Those warnings disappear once you re-save your game because all the data gets updated, so the issue often gets unnoticed... unless the changes are so major the game crashes. Cleaning save game removed bloat as well. It's not that Wares in particular make sit necessary to suddenly clean saved games, it's just good modding practice ;)
I'm unsure about all the colours, I'd have to dig up the original documentation of Wrye Mash.
Hmm okay, I loaded it the way it was (after using Wyre Mash, and seeing the pinkish color of the save games) and I don't get the same message in the warnings text. I get a few missing textures which I'm not sure of, I posted about them on Wares as I seen someone else mention the same textures in a comment there.
If you figure it out, I'd love to know what the pinkish color for the save games means. As for cleaning, not sure if Wyre Mash "cleaned" the save, as I've said I've never used it before, and never had an issue back in/before 2010(to be fair that may have just been blind luck lol) still it's interesting to learn new things. Still thanks for the help even if I'm still not sure what Wyre mash did right now, it does seem to have fixed the main warnings of mismatched files.
Also might want to fix the read me to reflect the fact that there is only one you want people to play with. Though 5% might seem too rare for those who want to collect all 90 without having to search everything multiple times or have zoom up to the point every thing is almost the size of their monitor(not sure who'd do that but yea...XD). In anycase thought I'd let you know the read me still says there are 3 rarities to pick from.
Recently came back to Morrowind after years of console gaming, your mods add those small touches that just make it that little bit grander and more immersive. Also nice to see you still being active in the field, I share your sentiments regarding coming back to Morrowind because it is unique and something TES has lost along the way!

Great mod otherwise. Keep up the good work.

I will take a look in case I've missed something.

Thanks for the references, I'll check Mule and CCCP.

You prolly need to merge your levelled lists (using tes3cmd, wrye mash or testool)
