I'm quite new at Morrowind mods. Is it absolutely necessary to have MGSO? When I use spells the game keeps giving me errors about missing sounds. So does compatability actually mean 'completely relies on'?

Basically, yes. It's a patch to get two mods to play nicely together.

Can't remember which mod it is in the MGSO compendium (Excellent Magic SOunds, maybe) but it changes the um... magic sounds. So if you don't have that mod (and the sound files) from either MGSO or separately then you'll get error messages when trying to run this mod

Give mlox a whirl (the version bundled with MGSO is years out of date). It'll change your mods' load order for maximum compatibility and point out dependencies like this as well as conflicts.

Calm down son, That was part of BTB's original mod, Don't get angry at me, Get angry at BTB. Also for the record its part of the Equipment Module, so if you are that bothered about it just remove the equipment module. (Theres a s#*! ton of Merchants with thousands of gold btw, and considering the reduced value of items its not hard to sell stuff)

I don't use MGSO but the version of mlox included in its bundle is years out of date. Download the latest mlox from here on Nexus - http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43001

I managed someway to track it to the *Edited by Tooplex* used in mlox_base.txt rules causing a regex error - nothing to repeat looping MLOX. I'd try something like
      Edited by Tooplex
      instead
[EDIT]this is bad because it stops MLOX from working regardless of this mod being present

The mlox rule-set update of 31st August should have fixed that (and, yeah, it was me not realising an asterisk would cause Python's regular expression doo-dad to blow up).

Hey Tooplex. I was adding rules for this into mlox last night. I know, I know, only two (or three?!) years after you asked me to.

I have no idea if you're still Morrowinding or have plans for this mod... But something that would be really handy on the mlox side (if you ever update) is to add some unique text to the version of BTB - Equipment which includes the Left Gloves Addon. I've got something together which works, but it relies on fie size and that's notoriously tricky.

If not then no worries and apologies it's taken this long!

So I can still heal when I rest in the wild, isn't that option turned off in BTB settings?

Edit: Not sure what I was drinking that day, but with Better Clothes Complete you should keep BetterClothesForTB and BetterClothesBloodmoonPlus1.5

Thanks so much for making this. It really simplifies a lot for those of us using both MGSO and BTBGI. I just got back into playing Morrowind again, and I really wanted to use both mods but was put off initially by all of the conflicts. These edited plugins have been a great help.

Just one question: I found the readme info about your included version of Better Clothes Complete (BTB Edit) a bit confusing. It says "Only install if you use my BTB - Equipment otherwise use BTB's Better Clothes." I assume "BTB's Better Clothes" is the version of Better Clothes Complete (BTB Edit) that BTB includes in his BTBGI download. Since I'm using your edited Equipment plugin, I use your version of BCC (BTB Edit). However, the readme goes on to say that:

"If you chose the Better Bodies option from MGSO Get Better Clothes Complete (BTB Edit)
Get from BTB's Game Improvements in the Extra's folder"

So if you select Better Bodies when installing MGSO, you need to use BTB's provided version of BCC (BTB Edit) instead of yours?

Simply put: If I am using your edit of BTB - Equipment.esp and also using Better Bodies from MGSO, which version of Better Clothes Complete (BTB Edit) should I use?

Yeah you should use mine, Ill edit the main description to say differently, lol. Its because you get Better Clothes from MGSO by selecting the "Better Bodies" option in MGSO.

Really dumb question - but BTB's addons are part in these esp's, correct? In other words, these a MGSO compatible versions, and all that is left to do is delete the clashing esps that come with MGSO.

Check out the "Installation" section of the Description pane or the readme. That should help, some plugins are replacements, some aren't

Correct, Although they are all replacements one way or another. and like you said follow the install instructions and delete the clashing esps

If you need more information specifically give me a shout

    In response to post #23538984.

Actually the change was me setting the clothing to appropriate hair shirt enchant of vanilla, I made the mistake myself in 1.1 by having the clothing be set to "Hair shirt" instead of "hair shirt " with the space. I fixed it by like i said giving it the right enchant (hair shirt with a space) So there wont be any problems unless MPP 1.6.6 created a new enchant called "hair shirt" without the space and had it direct to that in which case that's an MPP problem

P.S Why does that enchant have a space in the first place, Was the morrowind team drunk at the time?
OK, that sounds cool. I was wondering if you were seeing one issue and misattributing it to your mod.

As to how that happened, with some of the bugs in Morrowind that've been fixed by the MPP you do have to wonder...
