This mod has been superseded by https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/51414,  completely in mwse lua and much lighter.

Wow, I remember using this mod, back in the day. It is awesome to see it here! I have been playing Fallout:NV/TTW and remembering trying to learn to mod Morrowind around the time that this mod was released. I need to get back into learning to mod. Mods like this one inspire me, and I have thousands of ideas.

Hmm when I use this mod it mostly works fine, unless I chop someone's arm off. If I chop someone's arm off a magical floating torso spawns instead. I am using MGSO but I'm not 100% if thats the problem?

Hello there! Actually it's not a torso, but a shirt. You can easily check this using console. I have encountered with that and after uninstalling Better Clothes the problem disappeared. I guess we should use  pluginless BC to avoid that or don't use it at all. You can also delete that "torso" with a console command: press "~", then click on "torso" and type "setdelete, 1" without quotes, then press Enter and "~" again to close console.

Thanks for the insight Kaly. In other news, what is your take on the mod personally? Do you like the new decapitation animations? Is there anything that particularly caught your eye with this mod? (i.e., - Apart from the decapitation animations).

Can't get Morrowind Combat Enhanced to work for the Steam version of Morrowind. Blocking Enhanced works fine and so does Trance and Rage. MWE_Base is set to index 6, MWE_Combat is set to index 7 and MWE_Blocking is set to index 8. I have the Morrowind Code Patch installed with most patches as well as script extender, fps optimizer, Morrowind Enhanced, and Morrowind Graphics Extender installed in the Morrowind directory. None of the moves are working when I perform the combo's, most of my mods I have active are just retextures except for "Morrowind Comes Alive" and "Morrowind Rebirth" so their shouldn't be any problems there. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else with the Steam version of Morrowind able to get this mod to work? Please let me know here : [email protected], thanks.
First off: I don't have a Steam install.

    Some thoughts:
    Try Morrowind Enhanced 1.6
Make sure the Morrowind Enhanced executable is running before you start Morrowind, or launch MW from it.
Run the Morrowind Enhanced executable as Administrator
Don't install Morrowind in Program Files (I'm sure there's a way to move your Steam library)

If all this is old news, apologies.

[Edit: And make sure you don't have "Always use best attack" enabled]

Hey I am having the Same issue as encryptedknight. The rage and tranquility works and so does blocking but there aren't any new combat animations. I moved my game folder out of program files, ran morrowind enhanced as administrator and downloaded 1.6 as administrator yet it still doesn't work. Do you have any other possible tips to fix it?

EDIT: So I reinstalled and put in my morrowind CD when i try launching the game, and now I get a message saying my version is unsupported. Could this have something to do with it?

2021 and I'm having this issue. Trance and Rage buttons works but I can't pull off combos. Anybody out there that's using this mod and has it working?

CSO was doing it! I guess overhauling character sounds clashes with ACE's combo sounds? I don't know but taking CSO out of the load order made ACE combos function. Hope that helps someone!

After having moved my working install from Win7 to Win10 I've encountered an issue. MWE's combos seem to work just fine, but the finishers do not neither do the trance, rage, or block functions. trance and block just don't even activate and rage just sends the game into warp speed for a couple of seconds (rage meter still functions, it just fails to slow time down so everything just gets sped up when you use it). I have no idea what is wrong here or how to fix it. I didn't have this issue on Win7, so it seems like something about Win10 is causing it.

I had the same problems with rage and trance. All work fine though since I've uninstalled the latest MGE XE. I'm using MGE XE 0.9.10 instead.  I have Win10 installed either.

I managed to get everything working after a lot of messing around with different versions of stuff. I left a comment detailing the steps above.

PSA: How I got this mod to work (including slow motion) alongside current MWSE mods:

    1. Download MGE XE version 10.1 manual install from Nexus.

    2. Back up current MGE EX files in your Morrowind directory (compare files in archive if you don't know what to back up) in case this doesn't work for some reason or breaks other mods.

    3. Extract 10.1 to your Morrowind directory, overwriting your current MGE EX files.

    4. Open MGEXEgui.exe and run Distant Land Setup. It keeps the selected esps from the previous installed version of MGE, so just run it as is.

    5. Download the latest version of MWSE from the MWSE github page (https://github.com/MWSE/MWSE/releases/download/build-automatic/mwse.zip). DO NOT USE NEXUS VERSION!

    6. Extract MWSE to your directory and overwrite all, then run MWSE-Update.exe.

That should be it! For me everything from Morrowind Enhanced works, as well as all of the more modern MWSE mods. It took me a few hours of messing around to get all this to work, so hopefully this helps you get this awesome mod working again!

I don't think it really works. When I hit the focus key, my fatique starts draining, but time doesn't run any slower. Everything else seems to work though

Near as I can tell, no. I set the Morrowind-launcher-exe to OpenMW but it never stopped waiting for it to start.

Yes. I am using MGE XE which also includes MWSE, and also the MW FPS Optimizer and Morrowind Enhanced. Takes some tweaking, but all of them work fine.
