Do you know if your mod is compatible with this?

I currently have them both installed and I don’t see any issues, but I’m not sure if load order might matter?

As I checked, it works just fine.
I placed this one below texture replacer.

I love the idea. Would have been wonderful to have on the playthroughs where I was wearing the Mantle of Woe all the time. I might make a new one like that with this mod now that I know I no longer have to enchant all my items with constant effect restore health. The thing is, I have since realized that the amount of magicka available to such a character is all but overpowered. Still, if I don't shoot every single opponent with both God's Fire and God's Frost and sit back and wait while my character backpedals, I should be able to make the magicka boost not busted to hell and back.

Folks, don't try the method I just mentioned. It's not a challenge and therefore not much fun in the long term.

I might just try this mod, though, just so I don't run out of magicka quite so easily. Especially against Gedna Relvel, haha.

EDIT: Okay, already decided I couldn't resist and downloaded it. What I've seen thus far is nothing more than looking at it in Enchanted Editor, and as a first mod, I must commend you for having it totally clean. No GMSTs, no dirty references. Waaaaaay too many simple mods I've downloaded because I liked the concept without disturbing the world too much have needed cleaning by the end user, even when it was not a first mod, so thank you for being considerate of those of us who merely use mods. XD

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize it was too overpowered. I will soon upload a new file to this to make it more balanced. And I'd appreciate your response to the new one as well, if you wouldn't mind

See, the thing is, it would not be in any way, shape or form overpowered if not for those two spells. They do obscene amounts of damage, the only balancing factor being their very high magicka costs (130 (which is still lower than a custom spell with their effects, namely 10 to 63 damage of their particular element per second for 10 seconds)) and the fact that you need 100 destruction or close to it to have a 100% success rate, but with the Mantle of Woe you can spam these spells all you need in order to win the toughest fight short of Gedna Relvel, who doesn't really count as his absurd health is apparently a bug.

The thing about adding other detrimental effects, though, or increasing the ones it's got, is that there's an exploit, which I suppose is only well-known in some circles, that allows you to not get those effects if you have 100% resist magic when you equip the item, which is really why the mantle of woe has little downside, except for a lack of other useful echantments (and with an extra 5x int magicka multiplier, who cares about that?). It's also, incidentally, why the Boots of Blinding Speed, rather than being an amusing but useless novelty, are the most overpowered item in the game. If it weren't for the sun damage somehow dodging that exploit, I would have always worn the Mantle of Woe all the time, and now that I've found some decent modded spells that I can use to good but not overpowered effect (read: kills annoying stuff like cliff racers in one shot, but still allows for tough fights against the more dangerous enemies), I might use this mod to do so now.

Thanks gamerman for responding to posts - I do like to run a 'super mage vampire' once in a while and this is a neat vanilla upgrade.  i should be punished for trying such bull ... 5x + 2x + 1.5x is too much mana for any single person to have LoL

If you think thats cool then try what I'm working on - downloading and installing every DIFFICULTY boost i can, especially the Beware the 6th house sort of stuff and varied beast creatures... vs vivec ... and to give myself a chance to fight I'm installing Character Backgrounds, By the Divines, and other class based character improvements. I don't want to end up using destruction spells for everything like God Fire... i just want to max out my ability to cast all the spells and rely on Absorb and Resist to keep me alive.
